Boy, it is a miserable day.
Out of boredom, I went on the Apple webpage to search for a new warranty for my iPod Nano (I am under the impression that I can still purchase a warranty; I talked to someone on Apple's page one time and she told me I could) and for me to purchase it, it would cost me $39.99 and it would take me beyond for another year and for almost the same price, I could get a refurbished Nano....no, wait a minute. You know, I just defeated my whole argument. A refurbished Nano would cost double the price. What the hell was I thinking? God, I am a fucking moron sometimes.
As I said before, when I am trying to go to sleep, I think a lot. And I was thinking about how anti-abortion people consider conception the start of life- you know, when it's just a lump of cells- and I started to think, well, tumors are lumps of cells that grow and reproduce; therefore, are they not living beings? And don't forget that there are tumors that grow hair, teeth, bones, limbs, eyeballs, and even organ-like tissues. I think they are called dermoids or teratomas or something. Is it against God to kill a tumor? And someone else is thinking the same:

Quote Of The Day
From Michael K, writer of D-Listed, in response to the Wal-Mart death:
This is way, way, way beyond an "unfortunate event." You know, it makes so much sense that this happened at Wal-Mart, the epitome of American grossness. I hope that on Christmas morning, when the Wal-Mart savages' children are opening their stupid presents, they tell them "I hope you like it, because I had to kill a man for it."....What the fuck is wrong with America? Even wild animals behave better than we do. Stories like this make me want to donate all my shit to charity and go live in the woods for the rest of my life. People suck.

The Evidence Is In....
This country has officially been overtaken with greed:
Wal-Mart worker dies after shoppers knock him down
I would like for one person- just one- to explain to me what exactly in the world is so important to buy that people have to form a herd of buffalo and storm down the place. And then the gall of the people to refuse to leave the store after a man fucking dies due to their stupidity! It's a sad day when American's materialistic greed has gotten so bad, that someone has to frigging die for it.
And yet....to think some people are like to make a big stink over saying happy holidays.

Quote Of The Day
From The Nanny Diaries (the movie, not the book, which I wish I had the book right now to place that as the quote of the day as well):
Annie: Okay Mrs. X, now it's time for a few simple childcare rules. Slamming the door in your kid's face is *not* okay. Spending more time on a benefit for kids that you've never met than you do with your own blood is *not* okay. Going to a SPA when your son has a fever of a hundred and four and not answering emergency calls, that officially makes you an unfit mother. Now I know that you're all pretty busy with your hair appointments, and your watsu massages and your attempts to stay young so your husbands won't leave you. But here's an idea! Why don't you try eating dinner with your child every once in a blue moon? And heads up here, lady, try smiling once in a while. People hate you!
Random Thoughts
First....Happy Turkey Day!
Right now I am going to talk about my dog, as seen to the left. Yes, she does have a political Democrat donkey toy. Yes, I bought it for her. She is actually my sister's dog, but we all consider her as the pet family. Her name is Sammie and she just turned 5 on November 7th. Don't let the adorable face fool you. She is a devil and a half. I gave her a bath earlier and right in the middle of sudsing her entire body, she decides she is going to jump out of the tub and shake all over the place. I had to chase her all over my bathroom, which is not big by any means. She's just sneaky like that.
It was a week ago, but I never got around to talking about my cousin's funeral. Not that there is much exciting to talk about. I never cry at funerals. I think the last time I cried at one was back in elementary school when my Pop Pop Al died. I haven't cried at any since then. I just don't find death to be such a bad thing. Now, of course, I did not cry at this funeral either, but when I got home, I certainly did. Suicide is sad. It really is. Knowing that someone else out there that I knew personally was feeling similar to how I have felt many times, but actually went through with it....it's depressing. And people can stand there and say "oh well maybe he should have got help" or "maybe he shouldn't have been so selfish". He did get help. He was on medication. People do not seem to grasp how antidepressants probably never really help people who pretty severely depressed. Also, not many people seem to realize that antidepressants can INCREASE the risk of suicide. I can vouch for that from when I took Wellbutrin. I am not even going to bother commenting on the second one. I can talk until I am blue in the face and some asshole will stand around and complain about the selfishness of suicide.
And if you have ever heard of the fun of going off of Effexor, I can vouch for that as well. It is pure hell. The first time I went off of it, I did it smartly- weaned off little by little. I still got sick to my stomach, dizzy, and felt like I was being electrocuted in my head every time I moved my head or eyes. The second time, I did it stupidly. I dropped from 75 mg to nothing. I had no money to go to the doctors and get a prescription, so I figured I'd ride out the withdrawal. How, to this day, I did it is beyond me. I felt like hell. I was sick to my stomach and dizzy. I had violent mood swings. Every time I drove to work or school, I wanted to floor my car into a tree or railguard or whatever strong structure was close by. Every time I moved my head, my whole body felt like it was being electrocuted. I had internal chills and would put something on to warm up and in no time, I was soaked. I had migraines. I really believe I could have seriously hurt someone if I was pushed enough. I honestly advise anyone to stay as far, far away from this drug as humanly possible. I STILL get the brain zaps to this day and I truly believe I have not been the same since quitting it.
Anyway, back to the funeral, when the actual cemetary part came, someone brought a radio to play songs and wouldn't you know the first song they played was "Dust In The Wind"? I wanted to bust up laughing, because the first thing that came to mind was Will Ferrell singing it at Blue's funeral in Old School and then screaming "you're my boy, Blue!".
The minute I step into a church, every funny thing possible floods my head. I think of the episode of The Simpsons when Bart photo-copies his ass and then places the copies in all of the church books. I think of the episode of Family Guy when Stewie dresses up as a devil and tries to scare someone in church. I think of the time I went to a funeral and my father fell asleep in the church and started to moan loudly (just for the record, he did fall asleep at my cousin's as well; just no moaning).
Hey. No one said I was normal. I mean, this is the same person who has "My Shiny Teeth and Me" by Chip Skylark (from The Fairly Oddparents) on her iPod.

Quote Of The Day
From Family Guy, from episode "Untitled Griffin Family History":
Nate Griffin: "Sir, did you fill out the 1170?"
Customer: "Well, I think...I think I..."
Nate Griffin: "Did you fill out the 1170?"
Customer: "Well, I filled this out..."
Nate Griffin: "That's the 1190. You're going to have to go stand in the blue line."
Customer: "Look, I was already in that line!"
Nate Griffin: "Sir, don't get snippy with me."
Customer: "What? I've been here all morning!"
Nate Griffin: "Sir, that is not my prerogative..."
Customer: "I wait in one line, they send me to another line..."
Nate Griffin: "Well, you know what? You can always call to make an appointment..."
Customer: "I tried to call, I can't get through! The line's always busy!"
Nate Griffin: "Well, go wait in the appointment line then."
Customer: "I don't want to wait in the appointment line..."
Nate Griffin: "Sir, you're going..."
Customer: "I have a job, I can't stand here all day..."
Nate Griffin: "Sir, you going to have to take this somewhere else."
Customer: "It shouldn't be this hard!"
Nate Griffin: "Alright, you know what? I'm on break."

Quote Of The Day
From *fanfare* her royal highness, Lady Miss Kier:
I don't know what exactly it is that makes me laugh at the commercial. I think it's because it reminds me of a MadTV sketch that I saw once and for some reason I have never been able to see again, where Pat Kilbane dresses up as a dinosaur and terrorizes kids at a birthday party, even though the mother keeps yelling at him. I think he was Lizard Dan or Dinosaur Dan; I don't know, I can't remember. I even tried googling it and nothing comes up; it's like it never existed. But I remember it clear as day. Wait....thank you, Wikipedia! It was in episode 314.
I don't expect you to agree with me, but I will always stand up for what I believe inDamn straight. And I'll also place the Video of the Day as well, from AT&T:

Quote Of The Day
Stewie's eulogy for Brian's mom:
Yay and God said to Abraham,"you will kill your son Isaac", and Abraham said "I can't hear you, you have to speak into the microphone". And God said, "oh, I'm sorry. Is this better? Check check check check. Jerry, pull the high end out, I'm still getting some hiss back here".

Another Video Of The Day
Dmitry and Lady Miss Kier, with what I want to be my wedding song:
Every time I watch this video, it leaves me even more baffled as to what so awful could have happened to break them up and leave them so seemingly bitter towards each other. There are different years listed as to when they broke up so I don't know if they broke up before or after Dewdrops In The Garden, but judging by some of the bitterness in several of the songs, I'd say before. It's hard to tell who is more bitter towards the other. Lady Miss Kier sang the songs and probably wrote the lyrics, but in an interview I read with Dmitry, he got very cold at the mention of her. They're friends on Myspace, though. Whatever went wrong, I suspect it has a lot to do with why she is so adamant about never reuniting. What a downer.
lol take notice of the look on her face at 0:20. She looks like WTF am I doing?

Quote Of The Day
From Men In Black:
Edwards: Maybe you already answered this, but, why exactly are we here?
Zed: [noticing a recruit raising his hand] Son?
Recruit: Second Lieutenant, Jake Jenson. West Point. Graduate with honors. We're here because you are looking for the best of the best of the best, sir!
[Edwards laughs]
Zed: What's so funny, Edwards?
Edwards: Boy, Captain America over here! "Best of the best of the best, sir!" "With honors." Yeah, he's just really excited and he has no clue why we're here.

Random Thoughts
Woohoo! One more week until Thanksgiving! I can't remember where I read it- I think maybe the Daily News- but someone wrote in one day, whining about people calling Thanksgiving "Turkey Day" and how it is disrespectful to the true meaning of Thanksgiving. Give me a break.
This political correctness shit is getting out of hand. You can't say mankind because it's offensive to radical feminists and you can't say someone is in a wheelchair, you have to say they use a wheelchair and you can't say retarded because you'll offend a retarded person, but it's perfectly okay to use constant derogatory terms towards the mentally ill. It's as bad as the people, e.g. Bill O'Rielly and 99% of my NASCAR community buddies, who whine about Christmas and people who say Happy Holidays. I could punch O'Rielly for ever starting that shit. Enough with the paranoia rhetoric; no one is trying to take the Christ out of Christmas. Whether or not this country was founded on Christianity, it's 2008. There are more than just Christians in this country now. When I worked in any job detailing customer service, I said happy holidays for one reason- to signify whatever holiday they celebrated and a happy New Year. If the Christians just absolutely need something to get so hung up over or their heads will explode, get hung up over how Christmas has goen from the day Jesus was born to the day of spoil my already spoiled rotten bastard child who I never pay attention to so I have to make up for it by showering them with materialism.
I wonder what would happen if a Jewish person wished a Christian a Happy Hanukkah.
Read this: Reject Religious Right’s Divisive ‘War On Christmas’ Rhetoric
Continuing on, I received an email the other day that stated that the Constitution does not say anything about the separation of church and state. It may not say it in those exact words, but it is definitely in there. It's called the First Amendment and it blantantly states "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion". But I guess for the likes of these people, if it's not spelled out clearly, it does not say it.
I also like this: Dear Red States....
I should seriously consider sending that to my nice Republican friends who send me nice emails that state that one is voting Democrat because their head is up their ass.

Quote Of The Day
From Girl, Interrupted:
Tony: Do you see purple people? My friend, he saw purple people. And so the state came and took him away. He didn't like that. Some time went by and, and he told 'em he didn't see purple people no more.I have watched this movie plenty of times and every time the scene is on when they go down and get a hold of their medical records, I think how much I would like to see mine. God, I would pay to see my records. They are mine, after all, so why should I not be able to see what is in them? I think I have every right to know what some whack job psychiatrist is saying about me.
Susanna: He got better.
Tony: Nah, he still sees 'em.

An Ode To Deee-Lite
Most of you all know who Deee-Lite is, whether you realize it or not. If you do not recognize the name, you'll recognize this-GROOVE. IS. IN. THE. HEART.
Now do you recognize them? That's what I thought.
Deee-Lite is, simply, one of the best groups to ever exist. Yeah, most people who do vaguely know who they are will stand there and say, yeah "Groove" was fun, but they were a one hit wonder. Nothing to get fascinated by. Not true. They may have been a one hit wonder on the mainstream charts, but they had quite a few number 1 hits on the dance charts; I think something like 11. They were a group that many people couldn't be bothered with and I say, good! Let them stick with their shitty, mainstream music!
For those who do not know, Deee-Lite was made up of Lady Miss Kier, the most beautiful woman to ever exist, DJ Dmitry, who she dated, and DJ Towa Tei.
NASCAR crew chief Bootie Barker can be thanked for reminding me of the song "Groove is in the Heart", which one thing lead to another and before I knew it, I owned 4 of their CDs, a poster, and I had developed a crush on DJ Dmitry and a huge girl crush on Lady Miss Kier. Taking a quick trip back, after finding out who actually sang the song, I never really knew anything about the group. I honestly thought it was an all chick-group, complete with a bleached-blonde trashy-looking thing for a lead singer (not that I thought she sounded trashy- please, far from it- it just seems like that's what everyone looks like when you end up actually placing a face to a voice). Boy, was I surprised to find out it was a group made up of 2 men and tiny little red-head.
Bootie Barker is an asshole.

Lady Miss Kier was and will always be the most beautiful woman to ever exist. She is the only person in existant that I can define as both pretty and cute. And she had a wicked fashion sense. I loved her style from the World Clique era (the and I quote "female drag queen schtick") and the Infinity Within era. Those catsuits, especially from the "Groove" video....hot. And her look from Infinity Within was old-school movie star and it was just beautiful. The look during Dewdrops, when they got more into the rave scene, was cute, but it wasn't anything I have never seen before. As Office Barbrady would say...."All right people, nothing to see here, move along". She gets extra props for her style because....I mean, come on, it was the 90's, for God's sake. If anyone can be labeled as having good fashion in the 90's, they are amazing.
But it is just not her looks that I am "in love" with- it's her in general. She is one of the most good-hearted people I have ever read on. She is one of the rare few who genuinely cares about the environment, long before it became the latest fad, but was met with criticism for it. Why is it okay for Brad Pitt and everyone else to preach it, but because she was the lead singer of a house/dance group, it's not okay? What's not to love about her? She's pro-choice, anti-Bush, pro-protective sex, and makes a wicked cartoon character. She is so goddamn cool, it makes my head hurt. And I wish people would lay off on her for gaining weight. It's more than a decade later- do you honestly expect her to look the same? Maybe she went through a rough time. She doesn't seem to mind; she thinks she is sexier than ever and I say, good for her for thinking so. Dmitry has gotten quite chubby; is anyone going to harp and nag on him for it?
It's not nice, but sometimes I can't help but laugh when I see pictures of her now. Not that I am laughing at her. More so because it makes her seem more human and because it does not seem to bother her one bit. I don't think I am that much heavier than her, but you would have to pay me a shit ton of money to wear any of the clothes she wears.
Lady Miss Kier is a bad ass. A real mama jama. She is awesome to the nth degree, but she does kind of scare me. Most interviews I read, she is so sweet, I develop diabetes temporarily, but she still puts me in the mind of someone who is very nice, but screw with her and she will beat you with a pair of platforms. I have also heard the term "diva" referenced several times after speaking of her. This was in an article with Bill Coleman, their manager or something:
So it was like, I'm too young, I really don't need this stress, I had enough stress with Deeelite. What is it with me and the divas, they are just all out of control. And then there was also that one Infinity Within era interview where she was, um, very abrupt. Now being bad ass is cool, but I hope she was never a Mariah Carey-like diva or one of these diva-ish women who demanded all of her drinks to be at exactly 53.75642*F and swirled 174 times in a counterclockwise direction.
Here is another one of the entire band as cartoon characters.
I guarantee if you were to ask someone who knows "Groove Is In The Heart" and is not an actual fan of the band, what their impression would be of the band. I think Deee-Lite is a sorely misunderstood band. There is a lot more to know about them than people think. For instance, Lady Miss Kier wrote all the lyrics (a few were co-written by Dmitry). Aside from sampling in a few songs, they wrote their own music. I think I remember reading in the one of CD pamphlets that the first and second albums were recorded in their home. They did a lot of stuff all on their own. They really are a lot more talented than people would give them credit for.
"Groove" was fun, but I think they had much better songs. Not that I mind cursing, but one of the things that strongly appeals to me about their music is how clean it is. There is not one curse word in any of their songs! There were certainly several songs with sexual tones ("Rubber Lover" anyone?) and the lyrics still managed to stay pretty squeaky clean! Infinity Within is my favorite album of the 3, then World Clique, and lastly, Dewdrops. I have never listened to Sampladelic Relics & Dancefloor Oddities. Did you know they were initially signed for a 7 record deal? Too bad they never made it to 7. If they could have released one more album, I wish they would have done a holiday album. I mean, if Twisted Sister could....
I might be the only one to find that extremely entertaining.
It may sound ridiculous, but their music and the group itself has done more for me than any antidepressant has done for me. No matter how bad of a mood I can be in, if I listen to them or watch a video on Youtube or see them on Vh-1's 100 Greatest One Hit Wonders or Greatest Hits of the 90's, it makes me happy. If I were a cartoon character, every time something related to them appears, my eyes would bug out with hearts in place of the pupil.
If you do not know Deee-Lite well, I seriously suggest you give them a try. Check out their 4 other videos over on Youtube ("Power of Love", "Good Beat", "Runaway", and "Picnic in the Summertime"- just a quick note that the first three are slightly different versions than what are on the CDs). Don't write them off over one song. I would recommend other songs, but there are just too many good ones. Alright I will list a few of my favorites, no particular order:
1. Thank You Everyday

2. I Won't Give Up
3. Fuddy Duddy Judge
4. Two Clouds Above Nine
5. Good Beat
6. World Clique
7. Smile On
8. Love Is Everything
9. Bittersweet Love
10. ESP
11. I Had A Dream I Was Falling Through A Hole In The Ozone Layer
12. Electric Shock
13. Runaway
14. Power of Love
15. Come On In, The Dreams Are Fine (if this song doesn't make you feel good, you have no soul)

Vent.....
I make attempts whenever I start a blog to not spiral down into negativity too much, but something always ends up leading to it. Having PMS is not particularly helpful.
In addition to that, the weather has not exactly been wonderful. It's been cold and raining and it's making me miserable. I am tired beyond belief, despite the fact that I sleep over 8 hours. I don't want to be around anyone. Every time somone talks to me, I want to scream at them to leave me the hell alone. I don't want to be nasty and I certainly don't enjoy it.
My mother does nothing but give the guilt trip and it infuriates me. I can't figure out if it infuriates me because of what she does or that I allow it to make me feel guilty. She complains that she is always alone, so I go out and watch TV with her and then all she does is talk my ear off why I am trying to listen to something or complains about what I am watching. I don't know how many times I have made it clear to hear to her that I don't want to her about the Casey Anthony story and yet she STILL insists on talking about it.
I am miserable because I am sick of being out of work, but I am terrified to go back. I am sick of being turned down for jobs. Even Target won't hire me. I have four years of retail experience and instead, they hire snot-nosed teenagers with their entire faces pierced over me. All because I couldn't answer the questions in their absurd interview. It's a sales associate position, not a job on fucking Wall Street. A monkey could do the job. I am a damn good worker and I am not just saying that. People who have worked with me can vouch for it. Shit, I worked at KB Toys a few years ago and most of the employees were men and I could get stock out and priced at a faster rate than if all of them worked together doing the same job.
I don't know what to do with my life. I have panic attacks at the thought of going back to school, but I want a career. Part of the reason is I am lazy and the other part is I don't mind working for a career; I just don't want to spend so much time doing it. I want to work my ass off as quick as possible and get it as quick as possible. I don't quite understand how someone can be so smart and yet not be college material. I truly believe I am not college material.
The other night I was lying in bed and I thought back to 2006 and I thought of the first night I was in the hospital and my chest tightened and I started to hyperventilate. Is it possible to have post-traumatic stress disorder from staying in a psychiatric facility? I wouldn't initially think so, but I do believe there is something. It seems like a ridiculous thing to be traumatized, but you would have to know how I was raised to understand why I would be so traumatized by this. I hear certain songs or am in certain situations or see a particular show on that I watched at the time and get sick to my stomach. I just want to take October 2005 to the present and erase it completely from my mind. I will never be able to fully recover until I can finally put this behind me.
The way they treat you in these facilities is degrading. To have to sit there and be talked down to like you are fucking 5 years-old or mentally retarded when you probably have a higher IQ than all of the mental health techs put together is extremely demeaning. To have to go into a room with someone you don't even know and strip down to your underwear is demeaning. Yes, I understand a suicidal patient could sneak in a weapon, but my "suicidal weapon" was carbon monoxide poisoning by stuffing the pipe of my car. Is a car something you can sneak into a psychiatric facility? Where would I put it? In my fucking vagina?
Psychiatric workers often talk of the dangers of working in a psychiatric facility. I saw fights brew between patients and workers and do you know why the patient went after the worker? The worker kept on provoking the patient. There was one patient who had manic depression with violent tendencies that was constantly provoked by one of the mental health technicians. Why on God's good earth would you provoke someone with a severe mental illness, especially a patient with a history of acting violently? Are you stupid or something?
A cousin of mine has been missing for the past few days and was found dead yesterday, by suicide. He attempted suicide about 2 months ago and I guess he was not one of those lucky ones who attempts it and realizes what they have in life. And as usual, the bullshit always starts up about how "selfish" he was and what in life could have been so bad that he had to end his life.
People do not understand a suicidal mind. It's something that could never be understood until it's actually experienced. It's a horrible feeling to feel like your mind is stuck in a big black pit of tar of hopelessness and to be consumed with thoughts of wanting to be dead and that you just can't deal with life anymore and you feel so low and insignificant and that you'll never be good enough for anyone or anything and that all you want out of life is one goddamn thing and it is never going to come to you and that you are too much of a problem for everyone in your life and that they would be better off without you there because you generally just cause everyone heartache with your actions anyway. It's even worse when, other than the explanation that you have been diagnosed with depression....you just don't why you feel so horrible.
Frankly, I hate both, but when it comes to choosing between the periods of absolute lowness and the periods of constant, unrelenting anger, I prefer the latter. At least that gives me some drive and doesn't leave me lying in my bed and unable to get up.

Even More To Piss Me Off
SC Priest: No Communion For Obama Supporters
Oh yes. Let's talk about destroying lives and committing sins. Let's talk about the MALE priests who go around condemning homosexuality while they are touching little boys. Let's talk about what that does to "innocent beings".
If I have to hear one more person call Obama "pro-abortion", I am going to scream.
If abortion is to ever be outlawed, I say a law be made that every single person who opposes abortion is forced to become foster parents. They can take in all the children that are not able to be raised. They will also be required to pay for the years of therapy that a rape or incest victim will have to go through when they are forced to carry a child. They will be given a higher tax rate to pay for the prenatal care of an uninsured woman. Every single time a woman dies due to a deadly pregnancy, each and every one of the anti-abortion people will be penalized for allowing an innocent living, breathing person to die. They will also be taxed even more to keep the economy going; they want the world to be overpopulated, they can pay for it.
What do these idiot morons not understand when it comes to the health of a woman? If the baby is posing a threat to the mother, that means the mother cannot provide the baby properly as well. So instead of aborting the baby and allowing the mother to live, do these morons not realize that by allowing no abortion that two people could very well die instead of just one?
I often wonder what a radical Bible-thumping holier than thou Christian would do if there was a way to find out before it is born that their child is going to grow up homosexual.
I mean, homosexuality is such a sin and all....

Rudolph With Your Nose So Bright
Won't you guide my sleigh tonight?
I heard "Rudolph" the other night and I thought, you know, this election is a lot like that story. The other reindeer ripped Rudolph apart and then as soon as they found out he could help them, then suddenly they were his best friend. Plenty of GOPers and Democrats ripped Obama to shreds- personally, none the less- but now that he won, now all of a sudden they support him 100%.
Speaking of which:
Boy, for someone who hates the media so much, she certainly is using them for all it's worth.

"And then, of course, in the world of the blogosphere where so much is based on...where they allow for a hard news source...again, like you're suggesting, from an anonymous blog somewhere...some kid in his pajamas sitting in his parent's basement down on his computer gossipin' or just what's being typed in a blog and then they use that as a hard news source. That does not bode well for the state of journalism today."Sarah, that is not the description of bloggers. That is the description of computer virus creators.
Boy, for someone who hates the media so much, she certainly is using them for all it's worth.

Veteran's Day
My family is not something I would call a big military family. My grandfather served in the army and in WW2 and a handful of relatives were drafted to Vietnam. I briefly in life considered it, but the military would take one look at my medical records, look at me, look back at the papers, and then laugh hysterically. I could never make it- mentally, that is- in the military.
My uncle Joey, my mother's brother, was one of those drafted to Vietnam. He was killed on May 1st, 1968 in a freak electrocution accident.
Obviously, since I didn't come along until 1983, I never got to meet my uncle. I wish I did, though. There have been a couple times I have dreamt of him. One time back when I was at one of my lowest points, I dreamt I met him and he told me everything is going to be okay. I can't say that it ever occured, but it still was nice to dream something like that.
The sad thing is, besides the death, is how my grandparents handled it. Look, I can imagine losing a child is very difficult, especially in such a ridiculous way (fighting a war that we had no business being in), but I can't see why 40 years later, my grandparents still grieve so badly over it. Especially since when he died, they had a 7 year old daughter (my aunt).
A salute to all of the men and women who have served this country, living and not living.

I'm A PC....And I Have A Problem
Windows....what are we going to do with you?
I have been using Windows for a long time. Sure, the first time I ever used a computer was back in elementary school, which were those big huge Macs that were the size of a full grown toddler and had screens the size of my hand palm. We used to play Number Maze, or whatever the name of the game was where you went through a maze as a horse to get to the carrot. But the first computer we ever owned in my house was a Compaq. It had Tabworks and it came with AOL 1.0. Or that was on our second one. I can't remember. Boy, it's funny to think of computers back in the day. You see ads and they're like "OMG ITS AMAZING Get 6 bytes of memory for only $25,000!"
I do like Windows. I like it's ease, it's desktop, and it's flying Windows screen saver. However, Windows needs to stop releasing so many goddamn versions and work on it's security problem (and bring back the flying Windows screensaver). I am going to post my latest virus scan and highlight the number of viruses/unwanted programs it was scanning for:
Is that not ridiculous? Do you know how many programs I have on my computer to keep it as clean as possible? Here is what I have: Avira Antivirus, Spybot Search & Destroy, Superantispyware Free, Blacklight Rootkit Eliminator, Spywareblaster, Spyware Guard, Hijackthis, A Square, Spyware Terminator, Malwarebytes, and Winpatrol. Online scans I use: Ewido/AVG Spyware, Kaspersky, Windows Live One Care, and occasionally F-Secure, Panda, McAfee, and Trend Micro. I switched to Firefox with Noscript, McAfee Site Advisor, and Ad-Block Plus. I also have Opera, but I barely use it because it's a system hog since I upgraded to 9.5. Every time I open it, the little message comes up on the taskbar that says "Windows - Virtual Memory Minimum Too Low : Your system is low on virtual memory". But what can you expect from a computer that is still in the Stone Age with 256MB of RAM?
The whole reason I have become so obsessive over computer security is due to back in the fall of 2006. I received an email from Monster.com and it told me I needed to download something and I stupidly went ahead and did so. Crashed my entire computer. I had to reformat the entire thing. What amazes me is no matter how careful you are, you can still end up with a virus.
My sister's computer has recently fallen victim to the Facebook trojan so now I have to get a hold of her laptop and try to clean it up. This should be fun.

Random Thoughts
So, good news and bad news. The good news is the place I previously worked for, the billing place, is hiring. The bad news is they probably would not hire me. They would probably not even give me a chance for an interview.
Due to some miracle today, my father decided to go to Friendly's for dinner. I'm still sore with them after the last time I went, but I went anyway. And I tried that birthday cake Friend-Z for dessert and holy crap, that thing was friggin delicious. It was not nearly as sweet as I thought it would be, despite the fact that it is vanilla ice-cream, pound cake, rainbow jimmies, and icing.
It didn't have nearly as many pieces of cake in it as in the picture, though. Typical.
I was excited on Tuesday because I thought, thank god I never have to hear about Sarah Palin ever again. Boy, was I wrong. And somehow I have a feeling we are going to be hearing about her for a very long time. Excuse me while I go groan loudly. One of those loud Homer Simpson type of groans. I better start preparing now, just in case she does end up being the 2012 candidate and Obama looks like he will not be winning again. I absolutely, positively refuse to live in a country under her. There is no way in hell she deserves to claim the title of the first woman US president. I probably qualify more for it than she does. I can name more than one supreme court case, I know what countries are in North America, I can name what magazines I read, and I have been to Canada several times; therefore, I have excellent foreign policy experience!
See? I am already more qualified!

A Peak Inside Of My Mind
I already brought up several times that I have depression, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, etc. I also lack any bit of self-esteem and I absolutely loathe myself. I think there is a point where you draw the line and say "this is not normal" when you start to look in the mirror and want to smash it with your bare hands because you hate looking at yourself so much. Or when you lose weight and are still not happy and when you realize that even if you got down to 95 lbs, you would still see someone who weighs 250 lbs in the mirror, even though I have never weighed close to that in my life.
It's not normal to see certain types of people (not in regards to religion, race, ethnicity or death) and you can't deal with it. You can't deal with it for one simple reason- you wish it was you. It's not normal to want to climb up onto your roof and want to jump off with the hopes of obtaining this one thing you want. It's not normal to pick up a knife and think, it would just take a few seconds. It's not normal for this to fill you with so much glee. It's not normal for you to get angry with people when they get upset when it happens to them because you feel they are ungrateful. And you can't tell anyone, not even your own family about this, because even you cannot understand why any normal person would want this.
It's not normal for someone, who just a few months beforehand was terrified of having MS to the point of contemplating suicide, to go in for a MRI on their brain and panic and not go through with the test, not because she is afraid of what it might find; rather, that it will not find anything.
Not many normal people wake up in the morning and ask why.
My emotions are not normal. I never react normal to things. I did not cry and still have yet to when I found out my friend was killed. Instead, I got angry. I cannot cry at death. I laugh when I shouldn't, but don't when I should. I cry when I shouldn't, but don't cry when I should. I get angry when I shouldn't, but don't when I should. When someone angers me, I go out of my way to make sure I say the most hateful things possible. When someone criticizes me, I dwell on it. And not for a normal length of time. Years. There are things that people said to me in fucking middle school that I still dwell on. And as much as I try to put it behind me, it comes right back, particularly in times of low periods.
I have so much anger in me. I just want to go into a solitary place and let it all out, but I don't think there is enough in this world to handle it. I don't particularly know why I am angry. I guess it's a mixture of having no self-esteem, of all the hate and greed in the world, of allowing people to walk all over me, of never being able to stand up for myself, and most of all, due to this one thing I want. People can stand there and say every problem is temporary, but this isn't. This is not a temporary problem. This is not something I can do anything about without extreme measures and it drives me up the wall.
My mind feels like a computer that has been invaded by a wicked virus. Almost like a worm. It just keeps on building more and more, until eventually a zombie-PC results. Too bad the mind is not like a Windows desktop. I could just point to each bad memory, highlight it, and drag it to the recycling bin.
And drugs don't work. If they do work for you, I believe it's a placebo affect. Most people that antidepressants are prescribed for probably don't even have depression. Nowadays, you break a nail, your doctor gives you fucking Prozac.

Vice President Cheney to Undergo More Tests - But Not for His Heart
Arthritic knees? I thought they would say something like a soul. Four heart attacks? I thought he has only had three! How is this man still alive after all of them? The only thing I can think of is Heaven certainly doesn't want him and Hell is reluctant to take him. I think the Devil is even scared of him.
God, I hate that stupid "it's Miley!" on The Soup.
As if anything can grate my nerves anymore, I think my cellphone battery has bit the dust permanently. I charged it for a while, unplugged it, it had a full battery, and a few hours later, I pulled it out to check if I had any missed calls and it was dead. Now I didn't let it fully charge, but even so when I do that, it may go down a bar. I have been having some trouble with it the past week. I leave it to charge overnight and when I unplug it the next day, it takes a couple times to get it on. But I didn't think it was going to go dead this fast. It's an old Samsung E105; I have had it 3 or 4 or possibly even 5 years, so I was expecting it to die sometime in the next year. I like my phone, though. I don't want to get rid of it.

Another Quote Of The Day
Since I am watching Legally Blonde 2, this made me laugh:
Paulette (in reference to Elle's wedding dress): You need something really classy, like white leather!
Remembering....
I mentioned before that a friend of mine died in a car accident back in May. Amy was a friend who I met in seventh grade in woodshop and somehow, despite the fact that she drove me up the fucking wall, I managed to stay friends with her.
Seventh grade, I was always over her house and we would prank call kids from school (and one time, we prank- called a teacher and boy, did I get in trouble for that) or we used to go to the mall constantly (and raided Woolworth's quite a bit as well; man, I miss that store). I enjoyed hanging out with her, but she used to try to copy a lot of things I did and I, in a mixture of not wanting to copied and not understanding why someone would want to copy me, would get annoyed.
The same things continued right through high school. And then senior year, she became really buddy-buddy with this girl Jamie that we were friends with. And that is when she started partying and drinking. I started to regret ever complaining about how she acted before. Despite being friends with both of them, I was never invited to any of their jiggery pokery and while I never would have partaked in shit like that (please; I was and still am too much of a goody two shoes), I still was insulted that no one ever asked me.
After high school, the same behavior continued, worsening and spreading to sleeping around and occasional drug use. I was disgusted with her new behavior, but I still stayed friends with her. She kind of mellowed out in 2007, although, at the risk of sounding a bit elite, she still stayed friends with a lot of losers. The ones who got her into the crappy behavior.
Fast forward to May 6,2008. I was having a good day. A good week, in fact. I don't recall what was so good about the week off of the top of my head, but I do recall May 6 being a good day. Simply because in the quest to own all of Deee-Lite's CDs, I went to Tunes record store to pick up a used copy of World Clique that I had seen when I was in there before looking for Infinity Within and not only did they still have the copy of WC, they also had Dewdrops in the Garden (when you have no life, simple things tend to make your day). Got both for $7.00.
Now, the odd thing is, that day I thought of my friend a lot. I was at the doctor's office with my mom and was reading a Rolling Stone and there was an article about The Hills and I briefed over it and thought, the next time I talk to her, I have to ask her how can she watch such atrocious shit. Then while I was out for a walk, I ran into a man walking his Golden Retriever named Maddie (my friend had a Golden Retriever named Molly that died a few years ago). Then while going through the channels, Panic At The Disco was on and I thought, as well as The Hills, I have to ask her how can listen to such atrocious shit. And then later on, the episode of Family Guy "Viewer Mail 1" was on. Due to a comment I had made that I had referenced to that episode, I had been hounding her to watch it, so when I saw it on, I thought, I should really call her and tell her it's on.
Twenty minutes after thinking that, I come onto Myspace, find I have a new friend request, find it is from a friend of hers, and in the message attachment it tells me that she was killed in a car accident. I thought maybe it was just a really wicked phishing scam, but I went over to Yahoo, did some searching, and found an article stating that it was really her that was killed.
The odd thing is, not long after petting that dog, I continued on my walk and thought, you know, an awful lot of good has been happening with me; something bad is going to happen soon. I thought it was just typical paranoia and brushed it off. Also, it is probably not appropriate behavior (but then again, when do I ever do so?), I am still angry that I was one of the last people to find out. This was someone I knew for 12 years and if it were not for stupid Myspace, I might have never have found out. And if you really want to know what a horrible person I can be, I heard about an accident on Monday and when the news broke in (with no mention of any casualties at the time) with it, I said "oh, look, another stupid New Jerseyan not driving properly and causing a wreck". I mean, really- who would have thought that the "stupid New Jerseyan" was a friend of mine?

Where Have You Gone, Mr. John McCain?
I mentioned before that I am reading Crimes Against Nature and in it, there were several mentions of John McCain and Joe Lieberman and both of them were doing good stuff when it comes to the environment. What happened?
I am almost finished the book- about 20 pages left- and of all I have read so far, last night's final chapter was the one that has gotten to me the most. It was talking about the Kuehne Chemical Company in NJ and what could happen if terrorists got a hold of the chemicals. And this isn't the only chemical plant in NJ. There are eight total. And John Corzine, who everyone condemns to just be this awful lousy man, introduced a bill to reduce the risk of an attack. And it passed....until chemical industry associations started to whine and cry. And then the bill was killed. It makes me fucking sick.
And then the chapter went on to talk about the security of nuclear power plants and the lax security on them. It makes you feel nice and safe to know that fucking Disney World and Disneyland are no-fly zones, but a nuclear power plant can be safe to fly over? Now I am not someone who is terrified of death, but nuclear and chemical attacks are a whole other story, although I still strongly believe that with the toxicity of NJ, if a bomb were dropped on NJ, it would probably disinegrate in the air before reaching the ground.

More Good News, Everyone!
Robert F. Kennedy: Environmental Protection Agency Head?
Oh, Obama, please pick him! This will really make my week! I am in the middle of Crimes Against Nature and I think he would really do a good job. I don't get why on review sites a lot of people think he rants too much in the book; I guess as someone who rants a lot as well wouldn't see it. To be honest, I have never been much of an environmentalist. I am not an anti-environmentalist, far from it, but I have never been one to chain myself to trees or anything like that. But the stuff I am reading that the Bush Administration is allowing to happen is depressing. I suspect Cheney has more to do with it than Bush.
God! I still cannot believe he won! It still hasn't sunk in. Call me sadistic, but I never felt so much pleasure looking through the Huffington Post's slideshow of McCain supporters after the election was called. Now they know how we have felt the past 2 elections, although the big difference is, we won the election fair and square. We won by not behaving extremely dirty (frankly, I don't even see where Obama EVER played "dirty"). We won by not suppressing voters.
In the last weeks of the election, I worried about a few things- 1. an extremely damaging October surprise, 2. election stealing and 3. a possible Bradley effect (I was starting to worry that the constant talking of it would make people actually start to bring on a Bradley effect; you know how gullable the population is; they hear something and then start to mimic it, like when some idiot decides to shoot up a school, then for the next few weeks, you end up with multiple copycats). Back after the Republican Convention, I was depressed as hell. I kept thinking, we are going to lose this. Again. People are going to vote for someone because they think with their dicks, neverminding the fact that McCain is the candidate.
Most McCain supporters are some of the most hateful people I have ever been acquainted with. It astonishes me, especially with the ones that call themselves good Christians. McCain mentions his name and the crowd boos last night. Did you hear any booing when Obama mentioned McCain? No. What McCain supporters think will become of this country is absurd. Like we really want the religious right pushing their backwards ass ways on us. I don't know what Americans want from a president. Grow up. They're never going to do everything you want. I may be a Democrat, but I do not support illegal immigration. Do any of my candidates feel the same way? No, but it's less I disagree with than with most Republican candidates. Tell me again what Bush has done to stop illegal immigration. Because I don't know about any of you, but all I see in the state of NJ is illegal immigrants. And not ones that want to work.
What makes me laugh the most is when college students cry about socialism and Obama. A present college student making $250,000 a year? Get real. What's the matter? Are you mad that Mommy and Daddy won't be able to spoil you as much? Darn. I guess you'll have to learn responsibility.
Back before I watched NASCAR, I was one of those people who believed the stereotype of dumb redneck, racist Republican hillbillies being their base crowd. When I started to watch it, I dismissed the stereotype. Then, as I got more into and met fans on their community, I realized just how much the stereotype rings true. And my NASCAR friends on Myspace just further proved my point.

Hot Friggin DOG! YES WE COULD!
We won! Someone I voted for actually won!
(well, actually I voted for- please don't throw anything at me, fellow NJ residents- Corzine, but that doesn't count.)
I am so fucking relieved. I am so relieved I never have to hear about Joe the Plumber again or hear that horrible banshee screech anymore. My uterus is relieved that for the next 4 years I can still make a choice.
I am also glad to see that Lautenberg and Adler won as well. They were the only other 2 I voted for. Call me a bad voter, but I didn't bother voting for any other NJ candidate because frankly, my town is going to blow no matter who runs it. It will continue to be a town with no sidewalks or stores in walkable distance. It will continue to be a town that refuses to build moderate income housing and that responds to criticism with "if you people can't afford to live in our town, then you'll just have to leave". It will continue to be a town that protests low income housing because of violence and drugs, while protesting it with violence and while the same bastards that protest it have spoiled rotten bastard children that get drunk and high every weekend. It will continue to be a town that builds and builds and builds, causing schools to be overcrowded, leading to more schools being built, so then they can build even more houses and bringing the circle back around again. Do I dislike it here? You have no idea.
Anyway, I thought McCain's speech was good and I liked that he silenced his supporters when they booed Obama. That, to me, seemed like the McCain people always talk about. I didn't even know who McCain was until this year. It almost makes me feel a little sorry for him because he does seem like a really nice guy. He just acted horrible, though. He ran such a dirty campaign, although I suspect that four-eyed Alaskan bitch had more to do with the dirtiness of the campaign than McCain.
Now, I could receive a lot of slack for this, but to show what a good guy he is, I think Obama should offer McCain a position on his cabinet. McCain doesn't have to accept it, but it can at least show that Obama can "reach across the aisle".
Now, please, Obama, do not make me regret voting for you! Please do not make me, and millions of others, have to apologize for voting for you!
One more thing- what do they do since Biden won the Senate seat in Delaware?

Good News Everyone!
Random Thoughts
As a former Philadelphian....thank you, Pennsy! I have been so worried you would flip and go with McCain! Although my day in Lahaska, PA on Saturday spoke otherwise. Everywhere I turned were Obama signs.
I just thought of a conversation I saw on a right-wing leaning page one time and the members were discussing how hot Sarah Palin is and how there are no "hot" liberals. I beg to differ. One, considering how many celebrities that men beat their little manhoods to death over are liberal. How many men get boners just at the mention of Scarlett Johanson or Jessica Alba? Remind me who they are voting for?
Second....again, someone explain to me what is so hot about Sarah?
Third....three words- Lady Miss Kier (slightly NSFW, although nothing you wouldn't see in a bikini). She is one of the most liberal people around and no woman will ever be hotter than her. Sarah could only dream of ever being as beautiful as her. She may have gained weight, but she is still gorgeous. If she was not a hot liberal, then I have no reason to live.
I just read on article over on the Huffington Post about McCain's mother not caring if he wins or not and every time I hear a mention of his mother, I think of that episode of The Simpsons when Homer takes over for Smithers for a few weeks and Mr. Burns's mother calls and Homer says, "Mr. Burns has a mother? She must be a hundred million years old!".

An Angry Letter to Joe the Plumber
Dear Mr. The Plumber:
Please go away already. I am sick of hearing about you.
Please stop lying and saying under Obama, you will be taxed more for working hard. You do not make $250,000 a year. But wait. I am not stupid. I get what's going on here. The McCain camp is whoring you out so you can get all kind of publicity and offers, which will lead to an income over $250,000 a year, and then everyone can say "oh, look! Joe wasn't lying! He is being taxed more under Obama!", completely missing what went on here and ignoring the fact that you did not, IN FACT, work hard for your money. If you get the publicity and offers, you worked for them just about as hard as Paris Hilton works for hers.
And on your way out, please take that shrill-voiced banshee with you. Honestly. She is like a walking version of The Ring. Every time I hear her voice, I wait for the phone to ring and tell me I have seven days to live.
On a side, but slightly related note....why are we always receiving statistics on who whites are voting for, who blacks are voting for, who Hispanics are voting for, but we never hear who Asian people are voting for?
Sincerely,
A Bored, Annoyed American Citizen

An Angry Letter to Nickelodeon
Dear Nickelodeon:
I have been watching you for a long time. Since the days of good shows like Clarissa Explains It All, Rocko's Modern Life, Salute Your Shorts, etc. I may be almost 25 years old, but I still watch Nick; however, I have a few problems with your programming nowadays.
First problem- your shows. I don't know when your station decided it wants to be more like Disney, but I wish it would stop. With the exception of a few shows and Nick At Night, your shows are horrible. I would rather rip my eyeballs out, tie the optic nerves together, and skip rope through town with them than watch some of the crap that you release. And not only are the shows and the acting atrocious, but now, as I said before, you decide you want to be like Disney by giving all of your lousy tween actors record deals. Have you ever even listened to the Naked Brothers Band or Miranda Cosgrove sing? When are people in the stupid land of Hollywood going to realize that you should at least be talented in one area before tackling another? These people can't act or sing!
Which brings me to my next problem. Does Miranda Cosgrove have some kind of stock invested in your company or something and that is why every single friggin time I turn on Nick, her lousy piece of shit show is on? A few weeks ago, I spent 24 hours in excitement because, for once, Ned's Declassified, the only good non-cartoon show on your station, was going to be on and I turn Nick on, the Comcast cable guide lists Ned's Declassified at the bottom of the screen and what's on instead? Shitty iCarly. This isn't the first time this has happened to me and it pisses me the hell off. Play more Ned! He's funny!
Lastly....just get better shows.
And tell the creators of Spongebob to go back to when the show was chock full of adult humor and double meaning. And enough with the musical shows.
Sincerely,
A disgruntled Nickelodeon viewer
