Random Thoughts

Well, the few days of lessened anxiety were nice while they lasted. Now it's back in full swing. I am due for a visit from my period very shortly and I am an anxious wreck that it is going to come earlier than I expect it. Which is next Monday. Now if it comes Friday or at the weekend, it's one thing, but I am fretting it coming within the next few days, which would be way too early.

And having PMS symptoms isn't helping one bit.

The early menopause fear is still lingering. I probably should correct myself and say it's not specifically menopause I am thinking I am going through- it's perimenopause.

I am not looking forward to this week in work. Not that I ever am, but especially this week. One, my boss is supposed to come back and two, the one who plays on her phone all of the time is going to be in office the whole week with the exception of tomorrow. Yay. A whole week of watching her do a half-assed job and play on her phone, because god forbid she actually work.

I forget if it was Thursday or Friday of last week, but one of those days, my FWA had posted some sappy Facebook post about being up from 2 to 5 with the baby and the smiles and giggles she was getting are worth it, but she hopes the baby gets her tooth soon (teething issues, I assume). And when I got to work, one of my coworkers got a text from her saying that she wouldn't be in until close to 9. Is she for real? Look at all of the Sundays I had bad insomnia and still drug my beyond tired ass into work ON TIME. The worst thing for that bitch to do was have a baby, because now she just has another excuse to show up late, call out, leave early, etc.

Now....I need to decide if I want to avoid the MTV VMAs altogether or watch them for the lulz.

Random Thoughts

This neck pain needs to go away. Now I don't know whether it is a sprain or a strain, but I was reading about neck sprains and it was not very encouraging. Most symptoms will decrease in 4-6 weeks? Are you kidding me? It hasn't even been a week and I am already annoyed. I don't think I can take another 3 to 5 weeks of this pain. I like how some of the symptoms listed are irritability, fatigue, difficulty sleeping and difficulty concentrating. I have been extremely irritable, yes, between having my period and this pain. Also due to being exhausted from not sleeping due to not being able to sleep properly. No matter how I lay, it irritates my neck even more.

I don't know why, but every time I manage to injure something, I get incredibly irritable and sullen. It's like my body being injured somehow personally offends me or something.

I still cannot figure out how I could have possibly strained/sprained my neck from having a panic attack. But it had to be from that, because not long after it happened, I started having pain. And I don't want to do anything wrong with getting this to heal and mess up my neck. I already screwed up by not icing it in the beginning. Wish I would have spent a little more time Googling neck sprain or strain instead of meningitis and West Nile virus. Cripes, if someone needed solid evidence that I could very well be a hypochondriac, I would print out my entire Google search history.

I was reading an article on Cracked earlier about horrible people and one of the listed was perfectly able bodied people parking in handicapped spots. And while I certainly agree it isn't right, especially when some of the sights I see parking in them, the argument is a little tiresome. Clearly people are still going to be assholes and do it. And if anything is offensive when it comes to handicapped parking, it's when I see a car parked crookedly and on the lines where a wheelchair lift or ramp can come out. THAT is offensive. How is someone in a wheelchair supposed to get out if a car is parked in the lines? And most of the time it is done by some enormous boat driven by some fossil that probably has no business on the road in the first place.

And speaking of taking up closer parking spots, I won't even get started on those stupid "mother with small children" spots. Give me a fucking break.

I thought about watching them, but I decided against watching the MTV Music Awards this year. No MGMT, no Of Monsters and Men, no fucks given. I was far more interested in watching the Futurama marathon and listening to the New Music Show, which featured "Your Life is a Lie" again. I did receive a text message at one point from my sister, who was watching it, telling me to put it on and see Miley Cyrus. I just can't even muster enough energy to rip into that mess. Plus, if I spend time talking about it, then I am giving her exactly what she wants- attention. All I can say is that girl is repulsive on so many levels. She has a wicked case of the try hards. It actually personally offends me that she is more popular than my favorite bands.

My sister and brother-in-law were stanning for Bruno Mars earlier. Ugh, I do not get the big deal with him. I think he is talented, but his music.....you can have it. I was forced to listen to the CD one day when I was in the car with them and I wanted to jump out so bad. His music always reminds me of doo-wop, which I grew up listening to and actually still liked....until a few years ago. Now every time I listen to it, I want to stab my eardrums. So maybe once upon a time I would have liked his music. Well, there was that one I did like a couple years ago, "The Other Side".

It's weird how music taste can change. Like I used to love listening to Billy Joel, but now his music seriously annoys me.

The weather has been really nice the past couple days and now it's going to get warm again. And there is talk of possible severe weather on Tuesday and/or Wednesday. Yay. Can we please be done with the severe weather? I know last year we had two instances in September of moderate risk severe weather days. Also, I think that one tornado warning last year was in September as well. It would be nice if either of those didn't happen again. However, now it's time to worry about hurricanes, tropical storms, frankenstorms, etc. Damn, it's a shame no one decided to officially call Sandy Frankenstorm Sandy instead of Superstorm Sandy.

Goddammit, I dread going to sleep tonight.

A Third Quote Of The Day

I swear, they just keep on coming today. TMZ member haha on MTV:
Yeah, once upon a time in the good ole days, MTV used to play music videos. One day, an interesting little show called The Real World was born. The Real World was just a snowflake before the avalanche.

Soon, MTV didn't play videos anymore and the children of the kingdom cried. "Don't worry," said MTV's mommy and daddy, "We're having a baby!" And they named her MTV2-where the music's at. And the children were happy.

Sadly, their joy would not last, for it wasn't very long before MTV-where the music's at started to look and act just like her big sister.

And all the poor music loving children of the land were left with was MTV-where the music was and MTV2-where the music used to be.

The End

*sniffs* That was beautiful, man. Absolutely beautiful.

I don't know about the rest of you, but in addition to MTV, MTV2, MTV Jams (which plays jams all day long) and some Spanish MTV channel (which is basically like regular MTV, but with Spanish music and Spanish reality shows), we have MTV Hits as well, which does play music ALL OF THE TIME. HOWEVER....judging by whatever is on there whenever I turn it on (generally some variety of crunk or Katy Perry) , I'd rather MTV not play music ever again.

Quote Of The Day

Michael K on Jersey Shore:
What is there to say about last night's 2-hour premiere of Jersey Shore on MTV? I was tempted to just post a picture of the orange puss that oozed out of my eye holes after watching this, because that pretty much sums it up.
Did I watch it? No. One, I was not aware it premiered. Two, I do not watch MTV, except for Southpark sometimes. And three, I hate NJ enough as it is. I don't need to add any fuel to the fire. Ninety nine percent of the comments I have read on this piece of shit say they do not see this in NJ. However, any of the pictures of it I have seen, I can say that I do, in fact, see this exact type of trash in NJ. Believe me, I go to Seaside for the day a few times every summer and this is the exact type of trash I see every fucking summer. Wildwood is getting incredibly close to being overrun with this type of trash (I always laugh at how they are trying to upgrade Wildwood and condos get more expensive and the clientele just gets trashier and trashier; change the scenary, but not the situation). I saw it in high school too. Oh, did I. Especially the guys. Guidos out and out. *barfs*

The only compliment I can offer this show is if I were held hostage and told that if I do not want to die, my choices are to watch hours of this POS or hours of the [Whatever number they are up to] Kids and Counting or Jon And Kate Plus Eight, you can guarantee I will choose this visual and aural holocaust over those crappy pieces of crap. Come on. Either way you look at it, you know I will be asking the person holding me hostage to put me out of my misery.

My great-grandparents must be rolling in their graves.

Quote Of The Day

D-Listed user Dushieblue, on MTV:
Does MTV even play any music at all? I ask because I stopped watching tv about a year ago, and then it was all about rich cunts running around and making viewers rethink eugenics.

Signs Of The Apocolypse

Or that American's taste in entertainment has bit rock bottom.

I have the Soup on right now and have just learned that Miley Cyrus beat out Bruce Springsteen for some best song or some other shit at the Mtv awards. Really? Bruce Springsteen? Miley Cyrus? Now I am not a fan of Bruce Springsteen, although I do like a couple of songs by him, but....seriously? In 20 years, are people even going to remember who Miley Cyrus is?

Things That Annoy Me Part II

The names women call their breasts- whether it be actual names or terms like "the girls" or "ta-ta's" or "twins" or god only knows what other terms exist....they are breasts. Or boobs. Every time I see the bumper sticker for Breast Cancer Awareness that says "Save the ta-ta's", I want to scratch someone's eyeballs out. Aside from my giant beef with the whole pink/ Susan G. Komen/breast cancer awareness crap, it's incredibly tacky and extremely classless.

My weight- I am sick of battling with it. I have the exercise part down; I just need to get the eating healthy part going. I'm also sick of people looking at me and saying how slim I am. I am 158 pounds. That is not slim. Far, far from it.

Weight loss "celebrities"- you know. The ones in People and shit that are normal people and they lose weight. And they lie out their asses. I just saw one recently with a lady who is 5'3 and 176 pounds and says she wears a size 12. Who is she fucking kidding? A size 12? At 176 pounds? I don't think so. No friggin way. I wore a size 12 at 150 pounds.

Ugg boots- they are especially horrendous when they are worn over sweatpants or velour pants

Pants with writing across the back-end

MTV- Your name is Music Television. Where is the music? This goes for you as well, Vh-1. Either play music again or change your name to RBRStv (rich brat reality shows).

My hair- I have a crooked hair line and it is impossible to straighten. The only thing that straightens it is an actual clothes iron. Today I managed to get it straightened, but in turn, the ends flipped out like crazy. Think Lady Miss Kier in the beginning. No, I did not do it on purpose.

McDonald's- I thought it was supposed to be cheap. I ordered a Southern Style chicken sandwhich the other day and the friggin thing cost me almost $4. And the chicken didn't even cover the entire bun! Plus, anymore when I go, no matter what one I go to, the fries are salted like it's salt's last day on earth. I don't even work nor have I ever worked for McDonald's and I know that fries are supposed to be salted in a triple arch pattern.

The economy- all of the stores going out of business and all of the people being laid off....it's depressing the hell out of me. I went out to compare 3 desks tonight that I am looking at and I found out that the National Wholesale Liquidators near me is closing. Yeah, it's kind of a creepy store, but it depressed the hell out of me to see it closing. I always kind of liked going there.

Technical schools- they are supposed to be an alternative to college and yet the cost a fortune to attend. I looked at ones in my area and how much for the medical assistant programs and most ran, at the very least, $10,000. Yeah, I am going to pay $10,000 so I can maybe make a little over double that when I come out. The hell with that. And god forbid should you request one simple piece of information from a school. Then they will harass you at least once a day with phone calls.

Credit card debt collectors- they are absurd with their phone calls. We have ones calling for my father that call 6 or more times a day. I wish I knew more about the law because I would love to know how many of these DCs are breaking the law. My father has already been threatened with jail, so there is one law broken. They have called my next-door neighbor repeatedly, even after my mother screamed at them to not call her. I strongly dislike most lawyers and the legal system, but there are times I wish I was one or knew one.

Movies that fall into the following category- movies where a teen that is supposed to be a geek a nd falls in love with the most popular guy in school and trips and falls in front of him every time she sees him and then finally wins him in the end, football movies, comedians that once did really vile comedy and now do stupid family movies, talking animal movies, movies where kids become spies or agents of some sort, movies where ghetto hoodlum kids wake up one morning and decide to become dancers and that takes them out of the ghetto life....none of these storylines I would be bitching about if they have not been done over and over and over and....you get the point

My foot- which just stepped on my purse and cracked 3 of my Deee-Lite CD cases
