The Video Of The Day

Since there is no embedded link:

Roses- Outkast

I knew so many girls in school who were just like this song.

Plus, what could be better than a video with Kevin McDonald?

Things That Annoy Me

Computer forums- I guess I shouldn't get angry with people who do not know me, but I do. Why must every time I post on a computer help forum, someone has to respond with information that I ALREADY KNOW? I know to use anti-virus and anti-spyware! I know that hard drives are going to fail eventually! I know all this! What, do I have to explicitly state in my fucking posts that I know this shit already and to please not waste your time informing me of it? Just because I am asking for help on a computer forum does not mean I do not have an inkling of how a computer works!

The computer experts on these forums- these people are supposed to be computer experts and they know shit. They can never help me with anything. Or they start to and never finish. I had one guy on a forum tell me to test some kind of voltage on my computer. I wrote him back and told him I had no idea how to do that. His response? How can you learn if you don't try? I wanted to write back to him and ask him 1) if he is fucking kidding and 2) if he intends to send me a check for a new computer and for my medical bills or funeral when I get electrocuted.

Not being able to find a job- obviously, part of my problem in getting a job is due to the economy. My mom insists it's not, but I know damn well the other part is because I have been out of work so long. If HR folks take a look at my resume and see the last time I held a steady position was 2006 and then they just dump my resume into the trash, I say that is completely unfair. At least give me a chance to defend myself. What if the reason I was out of work was due to an accident and required a lengthy healing period? If I had been in a coma? They don't even give me a chance to explain.

Some job unions- look at my sister's union. They give nursing jobs based on seniority. Say you have 2 nurses applying for a job on the neurology floor. One has 20 years working for the hospital in, oh say, labor and delivery, and the other is applying from another hospital with 15 years working in neurotrauma. The former will get the job. Is that not the stupidest thing you have ever heard of? It's as stupid as how companies only hiring people with experience. You cannot get experience if no one will give it to you.

The eMachine computer I want- it's gorgeous. It's a skinny tower, but when I get it, I am going to spend a year cleaning off all of the included crap with it. Works and Office? I didn't even know Works still existed until I got the eMachine I currently have. Online photo printing? Google toolbar? Netzero? Earthlink? Norton? Wild Tangent? Isn't that spyware or something? I don't need all of that shit. Does it come with AOL as well?

Speaking of which....AOL- not only was their internet service the pits, their canceling process (which thankfully I haven't ever had to deal with, but I did have to cancel PeoplePC) is a nightmare and they have been sued multiple times over it, but the software itself is a cancer. I uninstalled it off of my computer a few months ago and despite using Search and 2 registry cleaners, I am still finding AOL files on my computer.

Extreme Makeover: Home Edition- Besides the fact that it is annoying as hell between Ty Pennington and the billions of time the phrase "oh my God!" is used and the fact that I am just evil and can't stand feel good crap shows like this, I don't get this show. If these people cannot afford to move to a new house, what makes you think they will be able to afford the taxes on a million square foot house. Look, I can see in helping to rebuild someone's house, but they are ridiculous. And yes, I know the word "extreme" should give me a clue, but they can still tear down a house, build a simple 1500 to 2500 square foot house and call it extreme. Whether or not the show pays the taxes on the house...well, they can't pay for them forever now can they?!

The vain of humans- people are now requesting plastic surgery for when they die and are laid out. Plastic surgery. When you are dead. Who gives a fuck if you have wrinkles or sagging tits? You're dead! Unless you are placed in a masoleum, you're going to be placed 6 feet into the ground and turn into a skeleton! You're going to fucking decay! Who cares what you look like? If you would like to know what else happens to you, read this!

"Accidental pregnancies"- there is no such thing as an accidental pregnancy. As long as you are having sex and are not sterile, you stand the chance of getting pregnant. No birth control is 100% effective.

Pregnant teenagers who refuse to have abortions, but then suffocate or drown their baby after delivering it- if you were that desperate to get rid of the thing, wouldn't it have made more sense to just go through with the abortion before, oh, I don't know, it was actually fully developed? But I guess it doesn't matter because it is not a fetus anymore. And don't give me shit that the religious right cares for all life because most don't. They only care about life before it is born. If they did care about all life, then they would be against the death penalty. I personally do not look at it this way, but if someone is very pro-life, then they should believe that no matter how horrid the crime, it is still a life that was created by God. Or there is always adoption!

The praise of Bristol Palin's baby- I see how it is. People like Sarah Palin condemned Britney's sister for having a child out of wedlock and the "failure of liberal morals" and all that mumbo jumbo, but when one of their own does it, oh, it's just fine and fucking dandy! It's a blessing and gift from God! Newsflash- no, it's not! Any way you look at it, it's still an illegitimate child! It's not any different than Jamie Lynn or the minority they condemn as well for having children out of wedlock!

Out of wedlock pregnancies- I myself don't exactly know why, since I am not a religious person by any means or anything like that, but I have a real beef with babies born out of wedlock (except in the cases of rape, a woman chooses to not get married but wants a baby, the couple has been together long enough to be considered married, and in the case of homosexuals). It's harsh, even I have to admit, but I find it very hard to be sympathetic to someone who has an unplanned pregnancy. I think the whole thing that bothers me is the irresponsibility and stupidity behind many of them.

Myspace users- I am no spring chicken, but I am not old. When did I miss the memo that stated that slutty behavior is going to glamorized? I feel like projectile vomiting every time I look on my friend's friends pages and all there is is picture after picture of girls with practically nothing on and with bottles of alcohol in their hands (guys do this as well) or implying that they are going to perform something dirty on the man in the picture with them or they are passed out drunk. Seriously- take a look- they are the future of America.
