Random Thoughts

Oh my Lord this week is dragging.

And once again, it is a week where everyone is in the office and it's getting on my last damn nerve. THEY NEVER SHUT UP. And naturally my poor excuse for a manager never puts a stop to it, because god forbid she actually manage instead of trying to be everyone's friend.

I have been so damn depressed and miserable the last few days, I am starting to get on my own nerves. I think I am probably miserable because I am so anxious over my period not coming on time and I am also probably miserable because it's coming. I had some signs of it earlier, so hopefully it's coming and not just fucking with my head.

And then I saw something yesterday that made me feel even worse depressed. The one girl who used to work at my place and I had worked with before I was laid off posted some picture of some [nasty-looking] soup she had made and all of my coworkers commented and apparently sometime this month, they are all invited to go over her house for dinner. I shouldn't even care, but it was like a punch in the gut. Especially because my FWA and her friend (the one who was fired back in the winter) are invited as well. All the other 3 do/did is/was badmouth the latter. Especially the one who invited them for dinner. I think it's hilarious that the 2 of them even believe the other 3 are their friends. And the thing I hate the most is that I am allowing it to bother me.

We did end up going to Apple Fest on Sunday and it was a nice day, minus the usual wanting to smack the BIL. It wasn't as crowded as I thought it would be; in fact, I don't even think it was as crowded as when we go on Saturday. It was just cold as hell. We stopped at Longhorn on the way home and did that turn into an adventure. They took my fav off the menu, the Parmesan crusted chicken sandwich, so I decided to get a burger. I asked for it well-done with just bacon and American cheese, no lettuce, tomato, onions, or anything else. First it came out with pickles, so I sent it back. Then it came out with Cheddar cheese and was probably about medium rare, if not almost rare, so that time we got the manager, who apologized and supposedly made the burger for me (it finally came out perfect). And not only did I get my meal for free, but I got 2 $10 cards. I of course feel horribly guilty for complaining (nicely, of course) and getting all that stuff as well.

And all of this Christmas stuff is getting to me already.

Random Thoughts

Well, my nephew's first birthday party is done and over with. It was a nice day. Well, not so much the weather (It snowed. Again). My nephew was cranky as shit, though, because he didn't nap. I love that boy to death, but things like that remind me why I don't want children.

Last weekend, I went to one of our farmer's markets with my parents so they could get some supplies for the party today. And while I was there, I happened to see some kid I went to school with. And I actually had a crush on him in sixth grade. Of course, like 99% of the crushes I have had, I look back at it in horror. He was disabled, more than likely what I was attracted to, since I have admitted to having a bit of a fetish for before. Anyway, he happened to turn around at one point and....let's just say he was more disabled than the last time I saw him. And I am absolutely ashamed to admit this, but.....I was fucking horrified. And even worse, I was repulsed. It actually skeeved me out. And I can't stop thinking about it and it's just so repulsive. I can't stand that it won't leave my head, not to mention I feel AWFUL for feeling so horrible about it.

I know, I know. God, I am a horrible person.

I was on MGMT's Twitter page last night and....thirst. So much thirst. Thirst as far as the eye can see. It was freaking embarrassing. And speaking of thirst, one of the fan pages I visit posted a picture of what is supposedly Andrew in his undies and people were freaking out about seeing his penis. And saying he is pretty well endowed. Now I enlarged the picture as big as my iPad would allow (what? I never denied not being thirsty myself), but to be honest, I don't think he is really that big. I'm not saying that as a bad thing, because he looks like he is a nice size. Then again, I won't deny that I don't know what truly would be considered a big penis as opposed to a small one. Besides, the idea of a huge penis inside of me scares the ever loving shit out of me, so even if he is actually what is considered small, what the hell do I care?

When my FWA's friend came to work with pinkeye, my FWA threw a fit and made it all about herself and her damn pregnancy. She started again on Friday about it, that her friend had a lot of nerve coming in to work with pink eye when she knows a pregnant person works there and can't take antibiotics. She's been constantly ranting about getting it and not being able to take antibiotics, so finally I texted my sister and asked her if it's true pregnant women can't take antibiotics. She said nope, they can. I swear, my FWA finds any fucking reason to make everything about her pregnancy. And all she does the whole damn day is walk around rubbing her belly and talking about her pregnancy and I feel like saying JFC we know you're pregnant STFU!

And one day she said something about being on WIC and how she doesn't want to be, but she needs some assistance. No. If you can't afford baby without assistance, then you don't deliberately get pregnant. Just because you WANT a baby doesn't mean you get one when you want it.

I still cannot get over missing that commercial the other day. It still infuriates me. I used to always see it during Too Cute or American Eats and I see it during neither. I even put the Olympics on, since I know the product the commercial is for are sponsors (I actually keep wondering if the Olympics are maybe why I am not seeing it, because it didn't start not showing until they started). And still nothing. I swear, if I ever get to see it again, I am going to miss it again because I am going to pass out from shock.

And sure, thanks to the wonderful world of the internet, I can watch it on Youtube and do, in fact, have it on my favorites list. But I haven't watch it yet because.....I don't know, I feel kind of awkward watching it. Don't ask me to explain, because I don't know why.

And speaking of commercials, I keep seeing commercials for Longhorn and they show the Chocolate Stampede in it and it's making me crave it so bad. All 2430 calories of it. I'm still pissed they got rid of that dessert with the fried cheesecake pieces on top of ice cream with strawberry syrup. It was so good! And I am also debating whether I want to try the Blizzard of the Month (red velvet cake) or not. It looks good, but sounds kind of sweet.

I called the dentist earlier and ended up making an appointment for Monday morning at 9. The girl was so abrupt on the phone (which was surprising, because usually she is fairly nice) and I ended up kind of caving into the appointment. I really want to go as soon as possible, but I am afraid of telling my manager about it. I would still go in to work at normal time and leave like 8:40 or so. But still. I don't know whether to cancel it or just keep it and call my boss before Monday to let her know I made an urgent appointment.

Yeah. Okay.

Just seen this reblogged on a Tartlr page:
mgmt shouldn't play kids live anymore so we can wean out the weak this is natural selection of the concert world
I have a better idea- why don't we also weed out all of the people who are only in the MGMT fanbase because they all have boners for Andrew? It's kind of funny this was reblogged by someone who had just recently reblogged a photo-shopped picture of Ben and Andrew in bed together. I'm sorry, how is that any better than people who show up to concerts just because they like a song?

I get the annoyance with it, I really do. Every so often I read reviews of their latter albums and it's "this doesn't sound like kids" this and that and I feel like saying JFC enough about "Kids" already. But again, it the person's loss if they don't listen to any of their other music. Honestly, I do love "Time to Pretend", but I am not really THAT big of a fan of it (I think it's the hypocrisy in the song, the whole hahah let's make fun of that lifestyle oh oops we're suddenly living it). But you don't hear me whining every time they play it. These brats need to have a seat. Have several, in fact. They make it really hard to stan for MGMT. Then again, I think it would be difficult to find any band fanbase that doesn't contain at least a little of this obnoxiousness.

And speaking of MGMT, we did a mini girl's shopping trip last night and went to Longhorn for dinner. When we were being seated, the hostess saw my shirt and she had been at the Electric Factory show as well. So we talked about them for a few minutes (and briefly discussed Andrew's beauty). She also asked me how old I was and after I told her I was turning 30 in a week, she said she was only asking because she finds they have a really diverse base when it comes to the ages of fans. I beg to differ; I felt like an old fart compared to a good majority of the fans there, but I did see a lot of older people so whatever. It was pretty cool. All I ever want to do is meet fans (minus ones like above) and talk about how great the band is. God, my life is sad.

Also, I keep trying to write a post about them, specifically Andrew, that is just downright embarrassing, but every time I try to write it, I can't bring myself to ever finish it.

Random New Years Thoughts

So 2012 will be over in less than 2 hours. These years just keep flying by. I am sitting here, depressed that the holiday season is almost officially over and thinking how it is a year until the next one and OMG that just seems so long, but honestly, it will be here before I know it. October will be here and Christmas stuff will start popping up. And it will be Halloween. And I can finally give my niece or nephew their first Halloween gift that I have had sitting in my closet since October. It was such a cute toy I couldn't pass it up. Then it will be Thanksgiving. And then the holiday season will officially begin. And then comes my 30th birthday.

Winter is not even over yet and I am already dreading the spring and summer months with severe weather. I don't know how people can live in tornado-prone areas. We are not prone to them and I am a wreck when the warm months come around. And judging by the past two years, now I have to dread a hurricane coming again. Or superstorm. Or frankenstorm. Whatever.

Normally on New Years Eve, we go to dinner and to the movies. We only went to dinner. We went to Longhorn. I told my mom we should do call ahead seating and she insisted no we will be fine, not realizing last year when we went and it was empty it was because it was New Years Eve eve. We ended up having to wait about 40 minutes, which was about the estimated time I was giving when I asked. My dad starts complaining loudly and the lady sitting next to me on the bench kept looking over at him. I felt like climbing under a table. And other than telling the waitress I wanted no lettuce, tomato, pickles or onions on my burger and it came out with pickles, dinner was good. I finally had the piece of cheesecake I have been dying for, although nothing still beats cheesecake from a diner. Two of my local diners make the best cheesecake.

Speaking of embarrassing, one time we went to Popeyes and my dad tells the cashier he doesn't want any cajun on his food. I was like you fucking kidding me. It's Popeyes. Louisiana Kitchen.

Man, I could go for some Popeyes right now.

I don't want midnight to come. I am afraid how I am going to react. I don't really want to talk to anyone at midnight. I am pretty angry with my aunt. She told me a couple Sundays ago that we would do something for my birthday. I just brushed it off as her usual big plans that she never goes through with. On my birthday, she asks me if I decided where I wanted to eat yet. I was surprised and thought gee, maybe she is actually going to go through with her plans for once. Haven't heard anymore about it though. I really shouldn't be surprised. But that doesn't make the hurt and disappointment any less. I am so tired of people. I really am.

Oh and I didn't take my birth control pill tonight. I already feel overwhelmingly guilty going off of it. I am also having doubts, like oh what if the weight gain was only temporary.

My sister's baby shower is in 2 weeks. We still have numerous people who have not RSVP'd, even though we asked to do so by December 28th. Why is it so difficult for people to RSVP? You pick up the phone and say I am coming or not coming. It's not that difficult. And then one of my cousins calls and asks if she can bring her tween daughter. What the hell, people? It wouldn't be so bad if 1) this wasn't a pay per head shower and 2) her daughter wasn't a miserable little snot who doesn't even acknowledge my sister. Does she even know who my sister is?

And the best part of my Facebook status asking people to RSVP.....my FWA leaves a comment "your sister is pregnant?". Because I didn't announce it or like any ultrasound pictures or tons of pictures of my doggy niece stealing my sister's pregnancy pillow or anything.

Oh, and how could I forget? Somewhere in 2013, MGMT's third album should hopefully be released. And maybe they will go on tour and come to my area. *squeals* Oh god I hope so!

ETA 2:07PM: Still hardly any RSVPs, despite my FB post about calling ASAP. I swear, I am related to some of the dumbest and/or rudest asses on earth. And the annoyance at some of the people who are not coming. See, Mom? This is why it is pointless to bend over backwards to attend everyone's parties. And now she is starting to finally realize that.

I am not sure going off of the pill was such a good idea. I am such an emotional wreck right now. I keep crying. I had bad indigestion last night, which may have not really had anything to do with it. I had horrible insomnia. My breasts are even more sore. My heartburn is flaring up worse. I had a hard time going to sleep, then I woke up at a little before 6AM, could not fall back asleep, burst into tears over not being able to sleep, finally started to doze off after 7AM....and my phone vibrates loudly. Burst into tears again. Eventually finally fall back asleep. It didn't occur to me until this morning that I wasn't having much trouble sleeping since I started the birth control. I woke back up around 11AM and felt like a complete zombie. My head felt so fuzzy. I wanted to roll over and go back to sleep for the next couple weeks.

Reading people's experiences of quitting birth control are scaring the hell out of me. So many people have seemed to GAIN weight after going off of them, although most seem like they have been on the pill for many years and it seems to be a lot of Yasmin users. I have only taking 21 days worth of pills, so I honestly don't know how much that could affect someone, although if these symptoms I am having are from stopping it, then it's a little scary. But I find it a little hard to believe that by me not taking the pill last night, I could start experiencing withdrawal effects already. But what so I know? What I do know is I am really not keen on staying on these pills. Taking man made hormones just seems very unsafe.

I can't even describe the feeling in my head right now. All I know is it is so insufferable, I wish I could get away from myself.

Random Thoughts

Well, it's been an interesting weekend. Friday night, the group of us- me, my mom, sister, aunt, grandmom, my mom's friend and my aunt's friend- finally got together again and went to dinner. We went to the new Longhorn in Deptford. Where 99 used to be *sniffs*. You wouldn't even know it was a 99. God, I love Longhorn. And I had a REAL cheeseburger.

Saturday was just a WTF day. It was Irish Weekend down the shore and we usually go. My dad assumed we were going, but never said anything to anyone. And we ended up not going, due to that and due to my mom's car breaking down. My sister refused to offer up her car to go and my mother got mad at her, since they do nothing but drive her places all the time. I got the blunt end of her anger, that parents should be killed when they reach a certain age, and she wishes she could move far away so she doesn't have to deal with anyone anymore (really- do people still wonder why I am so fucked up in the head?). But I ended up just running to some stores, coming home, then running back out later. And having the fun of getting caught in a downpour.

Sunday we decided to go to down the shore for Irish Weekend. And thanks to the cold front moving in on Saturday, it was nice and cool out. It was a nice day overall.

ONTD put up a post on MGMT performing at the Joshua Light Show and I watched a little bit of it on Youtube, and it actually made me feel a little better about not going. Don't get me wrong, I still would have went had I gotten the chance. I honestly knew nothing about the Joshua Light Show, and I was far too lazy to research it, but the show was nothing like I expected. I thought they would be performing their usual songs, but they didn't. There was no singing. Just weird music. It was cool, I won't deny it, but it was one of those artsy shows I would have sat staring at in absolute horror and absolute fascination. I like weird things, but some things I just don't get.

I wonder why Andrew decided to grow his hair out again. I'm certainly not complaining, since he is about the only man I think can pull it off, but he kept it short for a long time. And it's odd to say about someone about to turn 30 years old in a few months, but he's getting so grown up looking! I still want someone to put him and Harry together in a picture so I can finally figure out why he reminds me of Andrew. That would make my day, to see them two together in a picture. Also, they share a birthday. February 1st was apparently a good day.

Picture #10.....dat ass.

The Awesome Of The Day

I actually discovered this a couple weeks ago, but I finally found out what is replacing my beloved 99 restaurant down in Deptford- a Longhorn Steakhouse! It's not 99, but goddamn it, they could not have found something better to replace it! Huzzah!

Also, I noticed in my last post that I spelled behavior the British way. Why did I do that?

A [Non] Angry Letter To Longhorn Steakhouse

Dear Longhorn Steakhouse:

I love you so fucking much.

That is all.

No, wait, just one little complaint- if I say I do not want lettuce, tomato, onion, or pickles on my burger, just cheese and bacon, that means NO LETTUCE, TOMATO, ONION, OR PICKLES.

Now that is all.

Sincerely,
S-Cubed

Random Thoughts

Anyone else disappointed in no Rapture? I am. I was pretty certain that the sole fact that Pete Doherty was being sent to jail was a sign of the impending Rapture.

My sister and I hung out tonight. We went to dinner at Longhorn and then we went to the movies to see Something Borrowed (since I read the book, I was curious to see the movie). During the movie, I got a little blue when a lot of the love scenes came and I started to think, love scenes make me emotional anymore, when the hell did I become such a chick?! Who turned the estrogen on to overload?! I started to care more about my appearance and I get sappy over love. What in the hell happened to me? The former is not such a bad thing, but the latter is!

I saw a story the other day about this young woman who tried to kill herself after her fiance called off the wedding by jumping out of a building and the story immediately made me think of my post the other day when I discussed how I would react if someone was to break my heart right now and I realized I would probably do the same thing as this young woman if I was in a similar situation. I wouldn't try to jump out of a window, but I would more than likely go for some form of suicide if my fiance broke up with me right before we were to marry.

I always have a fear that one of these days something is going to cause me to snap and harm someone else, but ultimately, I think the only person I would ever really try to harm is me.

Random Thoughts

Oh am I happy this week is a three day week for me.

My sister's bachelorette party was this weekend. It was interesting, to say the least. There was about eleven of us. First we did dinner at Longhorn (first time going there for me and I think I may have just found a bacon cheeseburger that rivals Friday's), then we headed down Atlantic City. We went to Boogie Nights at Resorts. Again, interesting, to say the least. While we standing in line to get in, I could feel my chest starting to tighten at the prospect of having to go in. But once I was in, I relaxed a little and actually was on the dance floor most of the time we were there.

The dance floor was a fascinating place. For one thing, it kept getting smelly. And the sights! Oh the horror! Old people grinding against each, fat people in clothing several sizes too small for them.....*shudders*. At one point, I had some foreign kid kind of dancing with me and because I am socially retarded, I had no idea what to do so I just kind of winged it. I must have not been too terrible though, because he didn't run off screaming. I could see my sister watching him, though and later she told me she was keeping an eye on him that he didn't get too close. I just laughed, mostly at the prospect of a guy even coming close to me.

Everywhere I looked, all I could think of was this gif from this article:

Photobucket

Watch that gif closely. Tell me that kid is not at least bi. And you know what else? Where is the original Situation? I have seen plenty of pictures of him over the past few months and I cannot remember the last time I seen him lift his shirt up. Picture 10 of this gallery has him topless, but you cannot see anything. I think the last time I saw the full ensemble was when he was on Dancing With The Has Beens And The Why Am I Famous Agains. Whatsa matter? Sitch getting fat?

There was a lady who impersonated different singers on stage at random points and all I kept thinking was, damn she looks like Lady Miss Kier and if that is her and I am not getting my picture done with her, I am going to be so mad! But I checked her blog and I don't think it was her.

And now it is time to go back to that....place. Oh, the horror again! I am starting to notice an annoying trait. Like the rest of society should probably do, I ask questions when I am having a problem with my work. And I absolutely despise ever having to ask my boss questions. One, she gets nasty sometimes. But this is generally how asking a question turns out:

1. I ask a question
2. Boss starts asking questions that are hardly related to said question
3. I attempt to explain what is going on
4. Boss keeps going on about something else
5. I get even more frustrated
6. Boss flies off the handle about problem and whatever someone else did wrong, badmouths employee to me, uses the F word repeatedly, then starts to bitch about how she will have to hear it from our sister office because whenever something goes wrong, they immediately call her up and start yelling at her.

And then sometimes it will turn into an all out rant about our sister office in general. But the last one is what kills me. She is in charge of the office! Of course they are going to go right to her! Who else does she expect our sister office to holler at? Me?
