God I Hate Commercials (And Big Pharma)

TV Land must have some kind of sweet deal with Lyrica and Humira, because I swear they play commercials for them EVERY DAMN COMMERCIAL BREAK. Especially Lyrica. Guess Pfizer really wants to push those fibromyalgia diagnoses.

And speaking of Lyrica reminded me of something that happened in work a few weeks ago. My boss emailed us asking us if we include all medications in our reports or just ones that pertain to orthopedics and neurology. I wrote back that I include all and the reason I do so is because so many medications have side effects that can affect the bones or nervous system and also because so many medications have off the box usage, like Cymbalta being an anti-depressant and is also used for pain. And of course, my FWA has to chime in as well and say that Lyrica and Celebrex are anti-depressants and are used for pain as well. I can't tell you how much I wanted to hit "Reply All" and say that neither are anti-depressants. Celebrex is an NSAID, Lyrica is an anti-epileptic. But I wouldn't put it past doctors to use them as anti-depressants.

Also, if I see that Progresso soup commercial with the girl in her ugly bridal party dress one more time I am going to scream. Every time the Progresso person says "don't you love the dress?" and she says "I love my sister", I want to kick something.

The Awesome Of The Day

I was eating lunch and.....surprise! The commercial came on again! I seen it on TV Land today while I was watching Roseanne. I always thought TV Land would be a good channel to see it, but those times I waited to see it before, it never came on. Earlier today, though, I saw one of the other commercials, so I was hoping I'd see it. And I did, albeit when I was least expecting it!

Now it's going to be like hell to pry me away from the boob tube today, because I am going to want to wait around to see it again. Although.....The Brady Bunch is on now.

10:57PM: Yay! Just saw it on Nick at Nite! 

Ugh, I am so fucking weird. Also, I wonder if now I'll start seeing it so much that I will get sick of it!

Also, what is the stuff about Andrew and his girlfriend supposedly breaking up? I mean, it's Tartlr I am hearing it from, but I like gossip sometimes, so I still can't help but get sucked in, wanting to know if it's true or not. But the tears! Oh the tears! And the drama! Oh the drama of it all! It's like someone freaking died! It's just two people (maybe) broken up! Good god. These people are acting like the break-up, if it even happened, somehow personally affects them!

And another thing....I am tired of hearing a certain someone say she just wants Andrew happy and to be married. First off, I adore the boy, but to invest that much into the happiness of someone you do not even personally know is just freaking creepy. And does anyone stop to think maybe there is a small chance that he just doesn't want to marry?
