Quote Of The Day

From "The Birdbot of Ice-Catrez":
Waterfall Sr.: Folks, that tanker gave us the slip, but we'll stop 'em here on Pluto. If you're cold, rub your bodies with permafrost. It's nature's long johns. [He picks up some snow, puts his hand down his trousers and rubs it around.] If rubbing frozen dirt in your crotch is wrong, hey, I don't wanna be right!

: Good way to avoid frostbite, folks: Put your hands between your buttocks. That's nature's pocket.

An Angry Letter To Andrew VanWyngarden

Dear Mr. VanWyngarden:

WHY ARE YOU SO FREAKING BEAUTIFUL?!!!!!!

Need an example for why we should do human cloning? Why not Andrew?

Sincerely,

Quote Of The Day

Because I need to laugh right now, I tried to think of some funny things and for some reason, this scene from Family Guy was one of the first things to pop into my head, when for some bizarre reason, Lauren Conrad is about to sleep with Bill Cosby:
Now you will get ready for the zim zam and the babbidy bibidy. And you will take off your clothes like VOOOM! And get ready for the most splendiforous pudding pop you have ever seen.

Random Thoughts

Once again, here I am, sitting in the middle of a major crossfire going on in my brain. One side is arguing that no I do not want to die, that if I could just get it together, life could be good and the other side is arguing why don't I just get the guts to kill myself already. I just want to scream SHUT THE FUCK UP at both sides.

And if the Addison's fear was a human being, I'd take a pillow and watch with overwhelming glee as it suffocates to death. Four months is too long. I can't deal with it anymore. Every single new symptom I get is somehow attributed to it (and it doesn't help when said symptom is on the list of Addison symptoms). I am sick of being in the bathroom twice the length of normal time because I have to look over exposed areas. And forget it if I am getting a bath and am naked. Then it's even longer. The past few days I have been peeing a lot and right away, it's Addison's. Most conventional webpages do not have frequent urination listed as a symptom, but I have seen it.

I also keep getting muscle twitches on both of my legs and I don't even know if they could be a symptom of it, but in my mind it is. And forget questioning the pain in the back of my right leg. There is no doubt in my sick fucked up mind that it is a sign I have it.

I don't know what it will take for me to get rid of this fear, except to have the damn ACTH stimulation test done and it come back normal. Right now that is about the only thing that can get rid of it. Or to even just have an endocrinologist check me out and give his or her opinion. But I have no insurance! So that option is out, unless I get desperate enough to pay out of pocket.

I am tired of worrying about this and quite frankly, I am tired of having to discuss it.

I was reading an article yesterday and there was playful teasing going on over when someone lost their virginity and I know the teasing was harmless, since they certainly do not dislike this person, but it still made me feel kind of bad. And it's been eating at me all day. I hate that I let myself feel bad for still being a virgin. Why does it have to be such a big deal, though? I certainly never anticipated being one at 28 years old (then again there is a lot I never anticipated happening in my life). I expected to at least have lost it by now.

And as more time goes, the more I loathe myself and eventually a point is going to come where I am not going to want to sleep with anyone because I am going to be so embarrassed and ashamed of myself and my body. Come to think of it, I am already getting pretty close to that point now.

I am also kind of nervous how the whole experience will be. Will I really know what to do. Will the guy suck. Will I suck. Will I actually have an orgasm. Will he really have no STDs. How painful it is going to be for me. How fucking awkward it is going to be. Oh god, I'll probably get so nervous and uptight, it will end up resembling high class British porn.

I don't know anymore. I'm at the door. I just need to get the strength to knock.

Quote Of The Day

I know nothing about this, but the comment made me laugh so hard, I almost passed out (written by commentor pafoofa, from this cracked.com article):
Nothing Brett Michaels ever does will reach the evil he released on humanity when he had Pauly Shore do a cover of Unskinny Bop. If you have the misfortune of hearing this song, you will never smile again.
This one made me laugh even harder (from commentor Sahasrahla):
Revelations 6:66 "And lo, a supergroup was formed, consisting of Creed, Nickelback, and David Hasselhoff, featuring Justin Bieber. And from the people there was much was much wailing and gnashing of the teeth, as well as bleeding of the ears."

Random Thoughts

Well, I am feeling a little more pleasant than last time. Probably has something to do with my period being over (good riddance, bitch). Although I did have a bit of a freak out yesterday. I was about to have lunch and was interrupted and then my mom decided to snap out over something ridiculous (I think the wrapping paper for my whore of a cousin's baby shower gift got wrinkled or something. And yes, as a matter of fact, I will tell you how I really feel about her. She is a self-centered lazy loser whore who I am pretty sure will have her baby funded by tax payers very shortly, if not already. I don't understand what is so difficult to grasp in this- if you cannot afford a baby, DON'T HAVE ONE) and I just walked out of the room, went into my bedroom, threw a tantrum like a toddler and had a momentary moment of suicidal ideation again.

Goddamn it, brain! No! NO! STOP IT. No suicide!

I was starting to think earlier that maybe, just maybe, the reason I have been feeling better has something to do with that whole adrenal fatigue thing. I don't know if it actually exists, but if it does, I would not be surprised if my adrenal glands were kind of starting to crap out on me. I did a major cut down on caffeine just by cutting out coffee alone. When I made myself coffee, I did 3 scoops for 4 cups. That is some damn strong coffee. Cutting out the coffee alone had to have taken some of the stress off of my adrenal glands. And not consuming so much caffeine had to have cut down on how high my stress levels could rise to. I am still a very, very stressful person, particularly over things that most people wouldn't even dream of stressing over, and then this damn Addison's fear still lingering, but caffeine does stimulate stress, I can't deny that, and I do believe that my stress levels haven't been quite as bad as before.

I have been a bit surprised at my blood pressure numbers lately. They have been running in the prehypertension range. Not good either! Now if I could just cut down on checking it twice a day would be a good thing, although it's better than the 5+ a day I was doing.

I often wonder if someone like me can ever be successful with therapy. It's one thing if you know what your problem is. But I don't really have or know what my problem is. I have plenty of demons, sure, but nothing that I can recall that could be what brought this all on. Aside from having no self-esteem, how can I tackle my problems if I don't know what they are?

I think I may have mentioned this once before, but a few people that know I have problems have often raised questions (often behind my back, never to my face. Come to think of it, that seems to be the most common place for people to discuss me. And yet people wonder why I am so paranoid.) about my sexuality, if that has anything to do with it. No, I can assure you it does not. Come to think of it, I don't even really know what my sexuality is, but even if I did, I would be fine with whatever it is. I certainly do like men, but I have also had many crushes on women. Although there have been a handful of women I would actually go pretty far with, I still don't know if I would ever go as far as anything sexual with them. I do know for a fact that I would NEVER go as far as um, going down on another female. I'm sorry, but that is just nasty.

But other than that, my sexuality is pretty much confused, I guess. And I am fine with that. Whatever makes me happy, although I do have to admit there is something about women crushes that are a hell of a lot easier than men crushes. I find I get a little more stressed with male crushes. Another weird thing is if I find out a woman crush is involved with someone, I am usually okay with it, but if it is a male, I feel bad. Especially when you see what type of women said male is into and realize you do not fall into that category. And it's dumb, but it hurts. Big time.

When I sit and really think about it, I am so fucking confused with life. I am sure everyone is, but it's frustrating. I have absolutely no idea what I want. Like a part of me would love to get married and spend my life with someone, and then another part of me does not want to be tied down to someone. I thrive on independence so much in so many areas of my life and marrying someone would just throw that all out of whack. There's times where I just feel like saying the hell with marriage and spend the rest of my life satisfying my inner whore. Just sleep around. Never have to answer to anyone. Never was a fan of the show (although I have started watching it since I lost my job), but I did see the movie....be like a real life Samantha from Sex And The City. Now it could just be the sexual frustration talking, but that is a lifestyle I could get used to!

And then I have my days, more often than not anymore, where I just get tired of people walking all over me and wish the damn backbone I so badly need would just appear. And just say the hell with being nice to people. Just turn into this super vindictive bitch who claws her way to the top without giving a shit who she pushes out of the way to get there. I am tired of being nice to people and having them shit on me. I am tired of no one ever caring about my feelings, yet I always go out of my way to not hurt others. I am tired of feeling bad when I am chosen for something over other people, even if I rightfully deserved it. Would others care? No. Why did I make myself feel bad for scoring higher than my WA on my review? I certainly don't want to turn into a nastier person than I already am, but there is only so much one person can take!

Random Thoughts

Today sucked. Stupid snow. I am starting to get cabin fever already. At least I got to go out last night, though. The usual girl group went to Houlihan's for dinner and man, did I eat a lot. And amazingly I felt fine all last night. But I am suffering for it today. Damn my overeating!

I have been very moody the past few days and I really don't know why, except partly due to having it. And I can feel the Addison's fear starting to creep back in again. It never went away, because it doesn't seem to want to, but it kind of went on the backburner. My blood pressure hasn't been low or anything. I have been keeping track of it electronically since December 26th and in the last 7 days, the lowest it has been was 106/66, with the absolute lowest in the entire tracking time being 102/66. That is a big change from a month ago when I was seeing it running 101/56 and 87/66 and 95/56 and the like. It's nice to actual be able to stand and walk around and not constantly feel like I am going to pass out. I am still not feeling good, though. I am having so much trouble with my ears and sinuses and most of the time when I am walking, I have to be careful with moving my head around too much, because it throws off my balance some.

I don't know what is reeling the Addison's fear back in again, except just that I am still having to look over my skin so much and am still convinced that this spot or that spot was not there before. I don't even know if new freckles could be considered the hyperpigmentation seen in Addison's. This has been going on for almost 4 months. I can still recall to this day waking up in the morning on October 3rd and the fear kicking in. And to this day do not understand whatever brought it on because when I first read about it was probably around a month before that. I can't deal with it anymore. I am at my wits end. I don't know what it will take for it to go away.

I am just about at my wits end with everything. Last night was one of the first nights in a long time where I laid in bed and thought about how nice it would be to just end it all. No plan or anything, but just to end all of the shit. And it upset me very much. I just put my headphones on and pulled the covers over my head and stayed in one spot. I thought about calling someone or waking someone up to talk to, but let's face it- I do believe my family cares about me, but they suck to talk to. And when it comes to discussing suicide, I don't really trust them.

I don't know what to do. I want help so bad, but I just don't know where to go for it. I said it before, I can't do much more in life until I get proper help. I'm stuck in a sucky situation.

And having a lack of romance in my life is really, really starting to bother me. It was a pretty big contributer to the suicidal ideation last night. I am also stuck with that as well because a part of me believes a relationship could turn into an absolute nightmare for me, especially if the guy were to break my heart. And then another part of me believes if the guy is good enough, it could maybe push me in to the right direction in changing. And I also really wish people would just stop telling me romance is overrated and isn't all it is cracked up to be*. Maybe it isn't. I wouldn't know. But please, just let me be the one to make that decision!'

*my WA was a big one with this. But then again, this is the same person who said "girl, you don't know what you are missing!" when I first admitted that I had not ever slept with anyone and then a few weeks later tells me sex isn't as great as everyone makes it out to be

I am so sick of falling for people who will never return the feelings. It was the story of my life in high school. And the couple of times I did get the balls to make something of it, I was brutally rejected. In my senior year of high school, I had it pretty bad for an underclassman and somehow he ended up finding out about it. But he liked a friend of mine. And instead of just saying that he wasn't interested in me, he had to be an absolute ass about it. He made me feel like a fool. And then at a dance, he deliberately made sure he danced with her in front of me. Even if I got up and moved, I would find him in front of me with her again. And my friend went right along with it! Well, while I still talked to her, our friendship pretty much dissolved after that. She still wanted to be friends with me, though.

And the other situation, we won't even discuss. It was sixth grade. The one year of my life I wish I could physically go into my brain and erase. It was a horrible period for me.

I am a negative person, I know that. And even the best of people, I can still find faults in. I hate that I am like that, but I just am. And there is someone who I idolize very much that I was never able to find any fault in, and for the first time, I finally found my first fault with them. It's not really that big of a deal, but it's just disappointing. These people would have never given you the time of day before, now all of a sudden they will, so now you can only be bothered with those types and can't be bothered with the people who did pay attention to you before or that fall outside of these types? You forget your roots. And I am weird, we all know that as well, and most people wouldn't feel this way, but for me, it just hurts to know this.

It's hard to explain your problems when you have to be vague about them. But hey, better to be vague and make no sense than to risk embarrassing myself even more than I already do. And this is one of those times where I would really, really make a fool of myself.

I don't know how I forget to keep bringing this up, but back in December, I had been out with my mom and we had stopped in Wegman's and when we were in line, I happened to hear a baby start crying. And it sounded pretty new, with the way it was crying. And I swear, in that split second, and as quick as it came it was gone, I felt the littlest bit of a maternal instinct. I wanted to pick up the baby and just hold it against my chest until it stopped crying. But then again, I was also very hormonal that day due to my period coming later on that night, so I suspect that probably had a lot to do with it, because I also wanted to start crying along with the baby. It was a very weird feeling. I still have no desire to have kids, though.

Song Of The Day

My favorite song off of their album so far:

Alright, I admit that I kind of have a preoccupation with album covers that almost borderlines on unhealthy, but I gotta ask- what is the deal with that album cover? One night, I swear I stared at it for about 20 minutes trying to comprehend what is going on in it. A guy with a suit and a torch for a head, a guy with all of his internal organs showing, another with a heart. WTF?

Two WTFs Of The Day

I saw a commercial earlier for some stupid movie with the Rock and that dumb bitch whose phone is always conveniently "hacked" right before a movie of hers comes out and the commercial had "Make It Stop (September's Children)" by Rise Against playing in the background. Uh, do the idiots who made the trailer not comprehend the meaning behind that song? Here! Educate yourselves! Rise Against should sue. For sheer stupidity. Is it a Disney movie? They definitely should if it is.

Sorry, I am feeling a little hormonal right now and pretty much every stupid little thing in existence is bugging the shit out of me. And on the way to dinner, I discovered that my headphones had a speaker out and then after dinner, I discovered neither were working! I am so fucking sick and tired of having to buy new headphones!

Random Thoughts

Well, New Years didn't end up being as bad as I expected. I was mostly just bored. And annoyed because I was so bored. We normally go to dinner and the movies on New Years Eve, but my sister had to work, so we had to go out on Friday night instead.

I had kind of a scary situation happen that morning. I woke up at 6AM as usual with scumbag brain and I happened to roll over on my side and in a split second, my throat was burning. I sat up and I couldn't stop coughing and I couldn't get rid of the burning for anything. I couldn't even lay on my back because it made it burn even more. I felt like a bottle of acid had been poured down my throat. It was horrible. Now I have seen this occur with my mother many, many times, but in all of the years I have had acid reflux, I have never had it happen to me.

And speaking of other medical problems, I have still yet to make an appointment with a psychiatrist my family doctor had recommended. I am just hesitant, mostly because I am worried that I am going to go and it's going to be like every other psychiatrist I have been to. Here's a prescription, adios, in and out in 10 seconds. ALTHOUGH....I am out of pocket, so there is probably no chance the doctor will get a bigger insurance reimbursement by keeping me in there in a shorter amount of time. There is no one to reimburse him! And if I am feeling particularly hostile at the time, I may just look scream "look jerk! I am paying you for this visit, so you are going to sit and listen to every fucking thing that is on my mind right now! And tell your secretary to clear your schedule for at least the next month, cause we're gonna be here a LOOOOOONG time, baby!"

And I am also right back to square one of not wanting to take psych meds again.

But something has got to give soon. I am getting tired of feeling so shitty and not being suicidal (although Sunday I was thinking about how wonderful it would be to come up with a plan), but having no desire to be alive anymore. I am tired of feeling so miserable every time my period is about to come on and it's still not here even though it came the 17th last month and it's making me really irritable and snapping at everything in sight and the longer it doesn't come, the worse my nastiness gets. If you ever seen the episode of American Dad where Steve starts puberty and they show flashbacks of Haley going through puberty....well, that's basically what it's like when I have PMS, except my parents aren't in the corner holding forks, staplers, and torches out at me, and I am not screaming about tampons and the size of my boobs and throwing aliens (who like Pecan Sandies and getting high with "Electric Feel" playing) out the window and then torching the entire living room. I would like to do the last one at times, though.

And by it not coming, it's also reeling in the good old Addison's fear again, since absent menstrual periods are a sign. I am still analyzing every inch of my skin and I keep finding spots that I can't recall if they were there before and....ugh I am just tired of it!

I am also so sick of disliking my appearence. Actually, dislike is a HUGE understatement. I loathe my appearence. And when I have to look in the mirror because of this stupid obsession with Addison's, it's like fucking torture because I hate looking at myself so much. I cannot find one redeemable physical quality about myself and every time people go on about how "pretty" I am, I want to go on a rampage. I am vain, I am not going to lie. And I hate how vain I am. I really do. When asked in a survey, I am always the odd ball that immediately blurts out "blind", as in would I rather be blind or deaf, because I freaking hate looking at myself that much. But then again a small part of choosing it over deafness has to do with my obsession with music, which probably borders on a very unhealthy level. But the idea of never being able to hear music again is incomprehensible. I would commit suicide if I could never hear music again, because honestly, right now, it's about the only thing getting me through every day.

I also have one of the very worst traits in human nature- jealousy. I do not like admitting it to people, because I am so ashamed of it. But I am a very jealous person. And it's bad enough I have that trait, but then the things I get jealous over are so fucking ridiculous! Jealous over things that probably most of society would never even think of to get jealous over!

I am also starting to get really depressed again about being single. I know it bothered me a lot last year, and then I went through quite a few months of being okay with it again, but it's back again. And seeing all the Valentine's Day is just cranking up my crankiness even more. I hate being alone. I guess it wouldn't bother me so much if I could actually say I have relationships before. But I haven't. And while I don't think it would be good for me to be in one, there is also a small part of me that believes if I found someone good, it might do a world of wonders for me. I mean, certainly I have to be the one to change myself, but I don't think having someone there to help me would hurt. But that is probably just a dream. Who would be able to deal with me?

Earlier I was feeling kind of frustrated so I figured what the hell. And after the first orgasm, I burst into tears, then started laughing, then started crying again, and then started laughing again. It was incredibly bizarre. It was like watching Selma go through menopause on The Simpsons. I don't know what exactly made me start crying. I think it was a mixture of loneliness, the face that came into my head right at that moment, and hormones.

God Do I Suck

Where is my voice of reason? I need her. Why does she always abandon me when I need her? Whatever. I guess I will have to try to reason with myself instead. Look, it's not the end of the world. You've been through something similar to this before. You're okay (for the most part), your loved ones are okay, everyone is okay. No one is hurt. No one died.

So what you are going to do is go ahead and put "If I Had a Gun" on, cry for as long as you can (and daydream about how you wish one day a man would look at you just like the lyrics describe), and NO MORE AFTER THAT. And STOP the suicidal ideation IDEATION right this minute. This is the one time you can actually say that suicide would be a permanent solution to a temporary problem. It will eventually mean nothing to you. Yes, it's a giant blow to your already crippled self-esteem, but YOU WILL BE OKAY. In fact, this better be your attitude afterwards!

I can't do this anymore. Something has to change.

Picture Of The Day

I have never been one to have my wedding day planned out to the last minute detail....or any detail at all, as I suspect I have always been someone who planned on never marrying, but I do have to admit that when my sister was prepping for her wedding, I did come across dresses that I fell in love with. I discovered that I have a taste for dresses with lace design.

I was on the Berry the other day and a gallery of wedding ideas was up and there was this one dress that I just fell absolutely head over heels for:

pretty-wedding-22 : theBERRY

And shocker! It actually has straps! I hate the fact that pretty much every dress you come across nowadays is strapless. I don't care how much you weigh, you still have to be built a certain way to pull off strapless. Even at my weight, I look like a linebacker when I wear strapless. If I ever get married, it's going to be hell to find a dress if this strapless trend continues.

And while I didn't give much of a crap about the wedding, I adored Kate Middleton's dress.

An Angry Letter To Fox Network

Dear Fox Network:

The Simpsons have been on for, what? A hundred seasons? So please explain to me why you insist on playing the same couple seasons over and over again! If I see the one with Lou the cow or the one where Bart and Lisa think they killed Martin one more time, I am going to go into a rage not unlike Homer's Hulk rage in the Angry Dad episode. The original episode, titled "I Am Furious (Yellow)", not that stupid other one, where Bart makes an Angry Dad movie.

Sincerely,

The WTF Of The Day

I am about to lose my patience with this.

Ever since Avira detected that trojan, I have been running all of my different programs nonstop. And every single scan has been coming up clean.

Until Friday. I ran a scan with Superantispyware and along with some cookies, it found this:

Trojan.Agent/Gen-Sirefef
C:\WINDOWS\$HF_MIG$\KB2592799\SP3QFE\AFD.SYS

I could not find out much information on the trojan, but when I brought up the file, it seemed like it was a legitimate Microsoft Windows file from a previous update.

But this is where it gets weird. I always run under a limited Windows account unless it is absolutely necessary to be an administrator. When I ran Superantispyware under my administrator account, the scan came up clean. Went back over to my limited account and was once again giving the same detection. Tried again with the administrator account. Clean.

Ran another scan on Saturday and the results were:

Trojan.Agent/Gen-Sirefef
C:\WINDOWS\$HF_MIG$\KB2592799\SP3QFE\AFD.SYS
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DLLCACHE\AFD.SYS

Trojan.Agent/Gen-Orsam
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DLLCACHE\NETBT.SYS

Once again, all seem to be legitimate files. Once again, a clean scan under the adminstrator.

Ran another scan later on and was only given one detection:

Trojan.Agent/Gen-Sirefef
C:\WINDOWS\$HF_MIG$\KB2592799\SP3QFE\AFD.SYS

The rest of the weekend, I decided to run a ton of different scans. These were the results:

Avira: clean
Malwarebytes: clean
Spybot: clean
A-2: clean
Blacklight Rootkit Eliminator: clean
TDSSKiller: clean
Eset Online Scanner: clean
Panda Online Scanner: clean
F-Secure Online Scanner: one cookie
Trend Micro Online Scanner: clean

I have no idea what to do. SAS is the only one detecting this trojan and the files seem legitimate, so I don't want to delete them. But I am very uneasy with the detections because I don't know if they are really infected or if they are just false positives. I sent SAS a message about it, but have yet to receive a response. It would be nice if someone could help me the hell out!

Also, I looked more into that trojan Avira had initially found:

[0] Archive type: GZ
--> object
[1] Archive type: MIME
--> Post_Label_1443US.zip
[2] Archive type: ZIP
--> Post_Label.exe
[DETECTION] Is the TR/Dldr.Dofoil.29 Trojan

I think I have a pretty good idea where it came from. Christmas night, I had received an email from DHL telling me I had not been available to pick up a package or something. I knew right off the bat from the subject line that it was a scam, so I didn't open it and immediately deleted it. So how on earth did I get infected if I did not even open it, let alone download anything from it?

ETA:
Ran another SAS scan under my limited account after updating the software. Clean.

Quote Of The Day

From this cracked.com article, commentor Licalatypus on annoyance #4 (Women Take Forever to Leave Parties):
You haven't seen anything until you've been in a sicilian family. The process of leaving accounts for 25% of the entire time you spend there. Not exaggerating.
I can certainly agree this. Just by basis of watching my mother leave a party. Now to be fair, my mother is actually half-Sicilian, but that does not stop her from taking 54 years to leave a party. Unfortunately, I am one of those antisocial types that wants to generally leave a party as soon as I get there, so it's like torture trying to leave a party when my mother is there.

The WTF Of The Day

What the hell? I was about to ask why my antivirus did not pick this up in the first place since it is on constant guard, but then I remembered someone told me Avira is funny with picking up alerts with Firefox. But still. This trojan sounds like it is picked up from email attachments and I am 150% sure that I have not downloaded anything from an email. I learned my lesson several years ago from downloading an attachment from Monster.com, getting a virus, and crashing my entire computer. I never EVER download email attachments unless I am absolutely positive the person I received it from is not giving me malicious attachments.

The virus went right into quarantine when the scan was finished. I was thinking maybe it was a false positive, since I have the settings on Avira very high, but before I moved it to quarantine, I scanned the file with Virus Total and 27/43 found it infected. I tried to submit it to Avira to be tested again, but it wouldn't submit. Ran 4 of my on demand programs after the scan (Malwarebytes, Superantispyware, A-2, and Spybot) and all came up clean.

It disturbs me picking up viruses, because I try to keep a strong lock down on my computer.

Quote Of The Day

From "The Honking":
Yokelbot: Get ye to your houses, ye ignorant villagers.
[He pokes Bender with his pitchfork.]
Leela: We are not ignorant villagers, we're sophisticated New New Yorkers. Whup his butt!
[They dive on the robot and punch him.]
Yokelbot: Stop! What are ye doing?
I mostly just love that last line. It just popped into my head one day when I was probably daydreaming. Which I seem to be doing an awful lot of lately. And it just made me laugh really hard. And because it leads into this part. And eventually into this part.

Video Of The Day

And first one of the new year! Who cares if it has already received VotD honors before?

You know what the funny thing is? I first heard the song on July 1 on the Music Choice Alternative channel. I listened to it in full when I came home from work and I hmmed and hawed about downloading it and finally said what the hell and downloaded it. The play count for it is up to 747 plays, not including times a complete play did not register, I accidentally hit the next button, the battery died on me, or I listened to it on a burned CD. It's probably much higher.

What's my point? I don't really know. Just that I hesitated on downloading it and it ultimately ended up being my favorite song, I guess. I'd say that $1.29 purchase was well worth it, eh? All of their songs I have purchased have been. I only own 5- because I have yet to listen to their other songs and the 2 others I do know but do not own I haven't chose to do so because 1) "Congratulations" still has not grown on me and 2) I heard their live version of "Brian Eno" from the 2010 Lollapalooza show (thank you On Demand) and I actually liked it a lot (and OMFG did Andrew look adorable at that show), so I am thinking at this point, I may as well just own their CDs, because I am sure I will like the rest of their songs too- and all 5 are in my Top 25 playlist. Oddly enough, "Kids" was the first song I knew and owned by them (downloaded it back in March) and it's the lowest on the list.

Now every time I look at the screen before I hit the play button, all I can hear is Butthead saying "uh is that a lesbian or a Mexican?" (yes, I did finally get to see the episode).

Okay, now it's back to the Three Stooges marathon currently playing on IFC. And fully looking forward to the all day marathon on Antenna TV later on. Happy New Year everyone!

ETA: My new year is already off to a great start! I just remembered I am now uninsured!
