My favorite part from "Born To Run" by Bruce Springsteen:

I hate to admit it, but whenever I listen to this song, I feel a little bit of NJ pride. It's purportedly about Asbury Park, but it makes me think of all of the shore areas. I have only been to Asbury Park once and that was after it became a ghost town. It was pretty much dead when I was there, except for the occasional homeless person. I remember seeing the half-built condo building and getting the chills. It was fucking creepy there, which is a shame because I imagine it was an incredible place when it was fully functional. Most of the stories I go by are all from Weird NJ.
