The WTF Of The Day

I just experienced something so infuriating, I had to interrupt the Spybot S&D scan I have running just to rant about it.

I have just wasted the past 24 hours reading Frenemies by Megan Crane and it is hands down, one of the worst chick lit books I have read. The copy I have is 289 pages. I got to page 250 and said the hell with this dumbass book. If it was not a library copy, I would burn it. A book has to be truly awful for me to actually stop reading it, especially with so few pages left.

Seriously? Amy Lee got pissed with them because they didn't notice that she wasn't drinking and could therefore be pregnant? And then suddenly, they're best girlfriends in the world again? WTF? Pregnant or not, I would have told that bitch to go to hell. The characters were irritating as hell. The only character I liked was Linus the dog. Henry was tolerable, also. I also liked that the book was set in Boston, the second one to do so in all of the chick lit books I have read. While I adore reading books set in New York, it gets a little tiring after so many times.

I have read plenty of chick lit books in the past, but why do I not remember there being so many where the main character suddenly has this epiphany and decides to become this whole new person? Yeah, like people change just like that. Whatever.
