It's a different scenario of "eating early", but it pisses me the hell off when people eat before everyone else has gotten their food. Every Thanksgiving my father and my grandfather get their food and sit down and start eating right away. Before anyone else has even gotten their food and sat down. Or said grace. Like JFC, you can't wait 5 minutes to stuff your fucking gullet?

Thanksgiving is really starting to piss me off.

Should We Or Shouldn't We?

As we all know by now, the economy is shit. And when talks of depression and recession and all that started, I thought, there are going to be a lot of suicides. It's a grim and a morbid thing to think of....but it's happening. There have been 3 that I know of so far and the news reported the other day that suicide hotline use has increased about 124%.

The thing is, with these three men who have commited suicide....should you feel sorry for them? I don't like to hear that people commit suicide, no matter the circumstances, and watching your company, which you built up with your own hands and time and all that, start to crumble is obviously a horrible thing to have to experience. But should you feel sorry for people who once were billionaires and now find it devastating to live in $500 million while many Americans are being laid off from their jobs and barely scraping by because the price of everything is skyrocketing? Do you feel sorry for people who lived lives of extreme luxury while their workers were probably paid a barely livable expense? It's a tough call.

It's kind of like where to place your feelings when it comes to people who are in debt. If someone develops a serious illness like cancer and their insurance companies screws them up the ass by withdrawing coverage and sticking them with the ridiculously high bills, obviously you have to feel bad for the person's situation. But these people who live above their means or need to live like Hollywood celebrities....that is a different story. Now banks and mortgage companies are at fault here as well, but people need to learn math better. If you are making alone or combined a salary of $2000 a month and you buy a house with a $3500 mortgage, you are OBVIOUSLY not going to be able to afford it unless you have a fortune in the bank. $3500 is greater than $2000 and this is not even including taxes, food, heating and electricity bills, etc.

Or look at that whole Bonnie and Clyde pokery that happened in Philadelphia. While I have no sympathy for either of them, the one thing that did annoy me was how much emphasis they put on Jocelyn Kirsch. "Clyde" (I forget what his name was) was just as every bit as guilty as she was, although he apparently was not stupid enough to go and commit more crimes after already getting caught. I may not have any sympathy for her ass with what she did, but after the article I read on her in The Inquirer, she is obviously sick mentally, so I do kind of feel some empathy for her. However, I do not feel that should excuse her from getting a harsh punishment, especially considering she went on more sprees even after being arrested.

Her father is fucking creepy. Who in the hell insists on doing his own daughter's breast augmentation? Is that even legal? Yuck!

Or if someone is an accident and ends up dying or getting seriously injured and they were not wearing their seatbelt. Yeah, it sucks, but its said over and over and over that wearing a seatbelt can reduce the risk of injury and/or death. If you choose not to or flat out refuse to wear a seatbelt and end up going through the windshield and dying or getting hurt, tell me why I should feel sorry for you. Now I know my empathy/sympathy gene sounds a little out of whack, but an old, but ever so true quote comes to mind....you make your bed, now you lay in it.

This is way, way, way beyond an "unfortunate event." You know, it makes so much sense that this happened at Wal-Mart, the epitome of American grossness. I would like for one person- just one- to explain to me what exactly in the world is so important to buy that people have to form a herd of buffalo and storm down the place. And then the gall of the people to refuse to leave the store after a man fucking dies due to their stupidity! It's a sad day when American's materialistic greed has gotten so bad, that someone has to frigging die for it.

And yet....to think some people are like to make a big stink over saying happy holidays.
