Random Thoughts

Since all of my attention seems to be back on my teeth and this damn crown, I was fretting over it earlier and I kept thinking how every single time I hear someone say they are OCD about something, I want to punch them in the face. Oh I like a clean house I am so OCD! LOLZ I am so OCD about grammar! Oh I like things neat and in order I am so OCD! NO, YOU'RE NOT.

I was stuck running out by myself earlier to get dessert and I decided to go to Friendly's and get the new red velvet Friend-Z (very good, by the way) and as I was walking to my car, I kind of glanced in the windows and the place was filled with all these young people with their friends and all I could think was, I wish I had a gun so I could blow my brains out.

Life really fucking sucks when you have no relationships outside of your family. It sucks even more when you're someone who is really awful at creating relationships. I don't know how to create relationships, plain and simple. I have no idea how to make friends. I feel nothing but self-conscious and awkward whenever I talk to people. And even when some kind of a relationship forms, it ends up being nothing but a rocky nightmare for me and all I do is worry that the person is judging me and talking about me behind my back (I never voice these concerns out loud).

And ultimately, it ends up dissolving for some reason and generally it always seems to be my fault. I either didn't know how to pull my weight as a friend (I always love that; I had two friends bitch one time that I never called them and the phone works both ways.....yet they never called me either. Ever.)  or I was too much of a good two-shoes (and it's not like I was a preachy goody two-shoes; I disapproved a lot of times of the things my friends in the past have done, but I never EVER said anything about it, just simply declined to participate in their shenanigans) or I apparently wasn't homosexual enough.

That last one was one of the ones that burned the most. I am glad my friend had found happiness and all with finally being out of the closet, but that was no reason to disregard me. Especially considering before she came out, we used to have long discussions about our sexuality. And I was one of the first people she came out to because at the time, I was one of the only few people in her life who was cool about it. And it's not like she can ever say she ditched me because I was heterosexual because she knows damn well I was never sure about my sexuality back then. Hell, I still have no idea what it is, although I am starting to wonder that despite all my fantasizing and talk about wanting to be banged by tall skinny rock stars, if I am actually asexual.

Which brings me to my next complaint. We got an email on Friday that this upcoming Friday we're going to be having a luncheon with pizza and cake as a thank you for all of our hardwork. I wanted to groan so loud reading it. I fucking hate these stupid luncheons. That's why it's nice to work for a big company. We never had to attend luncheons all at the same time (at least any of the ones I worked for). We just got the damn food when we wanted it. I can't stand having everyone asking me "aren't you going to eat" or "don't you want any food"? Yes, I will eat when I damn well feel like it and it's going to be my own food because I am a sick bitch who has to eat at a certain time and has to eat specific things! It is so damn ANNOYING. Like leave me the hell alone!

I also can't stand having to sit in a little room with people who are sweet as sugar to one another's faces and then rip them apart behind their backs. And every time my manager goes on about how she thinks we all have a good relationship in the office, I want to laugh until I choke to death. We just got a new medical assistant a few weeks ago and on Friday, not even 5 minutes after she left, our most senior employee and the catty one were talking about her. I felt like turning to them and saying "JFC, you're (to the most senior employee) 69 years old and you're 36 years old- grow the fuck up already". And I love how them two have to constantly bitch when someone makes a mistake. Yes, because they're just so damn perfect they never EVER make mistakes.

I am dreading this already. I seriously want to find an excuse to leave work early or call out.

I am so frustrated with my job. Every time I think I am advancing with my work, I get a batch of work that sets me back. I have the hang of the job, it's just a matter of getting what I need from the medical reports. And a lot of times that ends up being more difficult than people think.

One of my cousins is pregnant again. After she had her first son, all she did was whine and bitch about needing alone time (because it wasn't like she was pawning her spawn off on her parents all of the time anyway) and now all she does is bitch about how bad he is and I feel like asking her WHY IN THE HELL DID YOU GET PREGNANT AGAIN?

My cranky ass needs to go to bed already.

Wah First World Problems

Was just reading customer complaints on Friendly's Facebook page and my eyes can't stop rolling. One guy was whining because the location near him closed and it made his daughter cry. Oh boohoo! God forbid should children experience disappointment nowadays!

And then some lady was bitching about there being no changing stations at the one she was at, which to be honest, really doesn't make any sense since it is a family restaurant. But then she had to be one of those people- she changed her brat on the booth seat. Really, bitch? That is so nice of you, changing your kid on a spot where other people sit because you're too stupid and too much of a fat lazy bitch to go find somewhere else to change your germ-riddled spawn. And I bet she is one of those types who incredibly anal about keeping her kid from germs. Oh sure, as long as her kid doesn't get germs, to hell with everyone else. Screw people who are so fearful of disease that half the time they don't even want to leave the house because of it.

I actually just complained to Friendly's a few weeks ago. I was dying to try the cookie dough Friend-Z so I went one Saturday night. The manager himself made it for me. Well, what I got was a cup filled three quarters of the way with cookie dough bits dumped on top. I took it and went to my car. And then I said fuck this, I am not paying almost $5 for what essentially was two scoops of vanilla with cookie dough bits on top. So I took it back in. And the manager took it from me without one word and handed it to an employee. No apology or anything. And this guy has been a manager for an extremely long time. The girl explained to me that they don't have a Friend-Z machine (well, why do you make them then?). But she did a great job of making it properly. I still came home and sent the company a complaint email (and yes, I commended the girl for fixing it; she deserved credit). A few days later, I received a $10 gift card in the mail. Sweet, right? But honestly, I am getting tired of Friendly's shit.

Random Thoughts

Can I hit myself for eating so bad this weekend? I went to Friendly's for lunch on Friday (whom I may be breaking up with again; who? whom? why is it I did my 12 years of school, 29 credits of college and I still cannot get the hang of who vs. whom?) and I wasn't going to eat dinner, but then I ended up eating pizza for dinner. Saturday I went to the Cheesecake Factory for dinner. My lower left side hurts like all holy hell. I feel like I am pregnant. Goddamn me for being so stupid! *cries*

And not only do I feel horrible physically from overeating, but I feel guilty for overeating.

I am also annoyed with myself because for the past few days, I have been self-pitying on a very unhealthy level. It does not help that I just saw something earlier that exacerbated it. And it pisses me off that I am actually allowing something like this to make me feel bad. It's so ridiculous! I feel so fucking stupid! Someone my age should not get upset over something like this. How can you know that what you're feeling is irrational, yet still feel it?

I also have to keep reminding myself, particularly when I start thinking of harming myself in response to this, that IT WILL NOT MATTER ONE DAY. I went through something sort of similar before, and while the hurt felt like it was never going to end (it took 7 fucking months to go away), it did eventually end. And now I could care less.

I was laying in bed the other night and I was thinking about how when I was created, something got seriously fucked up. Parts are missing, parts are not functioning properly, too many of certain parts. And then I started running through everything that is wrong:

- I have no idea how to be in love with another person
- I have no idea how to empathize or sympathize properly. I either do it when I shouldn't or I don't do it when I should. Or I do it when I should, but just do not do it properly.
- I have no idea how to grieve properly. It should not take someone years to finally be able to cry over someone's death.
- I feel guilty over everything
- I cry over everything
- I flip out over the most ridiculous things
- I get jealous over the stupidest, most embarrassing things
- I have no ambition, mostly because I have just about given up on life
- I don't care about other people's problems, but expect everyone to care about mine (although I think everyone brushing off mine was what lead to this)
- I am fine with someone until they do something I perceive as annoying or stupid, and then I dislike them immensely, although it never lasts for long and then I am fine with them again
- I find fault in everyone
- I misconstrue everything as an attack on me somehow
- I immediately consider self-harm when someone attacks me
- I let people walk all over me
- I have no idea how to stand up for myself
- I have too short of a temper
- I always worry too much about not hurting other people rather than worrying about my well-being
- I get embarrassed and feel stupid too easily
- I am almost completely incapable of discussing my problems with other people
- I am too easily influenced with my feelings. If someone came up to me right now and told me I was fat, I would believe them, despite the fact that my weight is in a healthy weight range.
- I am completely incapable of making the simplest decisions. Deciding what to eat for lunch stresses me out to the point that I lose my patience and snap out on people. Just imagine the level of difficulty in making decisions like what to pursue a career in. It's nearly impossible. Why do I have such a difficult time making decisions? I really have no idea.

I could be here forever. And one thing I really cannot tolerate is how I constantly feel like my emotions are being pulled in a million directions at one time. It makes no sense to worry so much about something happening to a loved one to the point that you want to projectile vomit repeatedly while simultaneously hating them and wishing they would leave you alone. I want things, but then when I get them, I do not want them anymore.

When we were at Friendly's on Friday, they had CNN on the TV and a report came on about that young lady who contracted the flesh eating virus. I told my mother and my sister that if something like that ever happened to me, I do not want any amputations. And they were kind of confused at first, and I said "it means I would rather die". They started to give me a hard time about it and I just kept saying "no, I would rather die". And I would. Maybe someone else could be fine with it, but I know I would not be. A leg or foot or left arm or left hand, okay, yeah maybe. Anything more than that....no. This is why I want an advanced directive.

No one knows how much time I have spent obsessing over this fear. It is one of my biggest fears.

And if I had thought about it, I would have said "oh, and who would plan on taking care of me?". That would have shut them both up. After all, we are not my sister's responsibility. Which is true, yes, but the fact that we always have to drop everything to cater to her when she is sick or needs help with something. Look at last year, when my parents and I went down the shore for the weekend- she wasn't feeling good and her husband was off with his band, and she was pissed that no one stayed home to stay with her. I was like are you for real? You are a 31 year-old nurse who is now married. And she is moving soon and who is doing all of the packing with her? My mom and me. Not her husband, not her in-laws. Just the two of us. This is what I am talking about. Everyone, particularly my parents, just drops everything to cater to her all the time. She wants something done, my parents help her. She wants to go somewhere, my parents take her if hubby can't. I honestly believe that if she had said she was the one that wanted to go to Musikfest, my parents would have taken us. And they wonder why she is such a fucking princess.

Also on Friday, we were helping my sister pack up things to move and my sister and I were sitting in the living room when we heard stuff fall and slide across the floor in the spare bedroom, where my mom was working on packing. So I got up and went in to see what happened, only to find my mother on the floor on her side with her eyes closed. And when I said "Mom?", she didn't respond. I was about to freak out. And them my sister came in and same thing. Then finally she responded. I don't know if she had just been stunned from falling or was just being a drama queen, because she wasn't knocked out or anything to not respond. But it scared the hell out of me. I got really bad pains across my stomach and I started to feel like I was going to black out and had to go sit down.

And then of course, I started to get upset at feeling so bad and immediately "OMG it's Addison's" popped into my head, that not producing enough cortisol lead to the horrible feeling. I am starting to believe that this fear is never going to go away. Oddly enough, earlier after I saw the thing that made me feel bad, I thought god, sometimes I wish I did have it.

Random Thoughts

Yes, I have my music coded badly and yes, I have an incredibly old version of iTunes. The only reason I have not updated is because 1) Pod+Rescue would probably not be compatible and I am too cheap to go buy a new version and 2) I like to have the choice of whether or not I want the album pictures to show on my iPod. Oh, and I am really lazy, too. It's a pain to update anything on my computer because of only using a limited account. When I need to update something, then I have to switch users, and then usually I have to reboot, and....ugh it's just a pain in the ass.

But as you can see, my addiction to this song has gone through the roof. I added it on 3/16, so if you average out the number of listens, I have listened to it about 10 times a day. I have listened to it more since I last updated my iPod, so the number is actually higher. Of course, my mother will blame this all on my having obsessive compulsive disorder. Because she has no idea what she is talking about, just like pretty much every person who does not have OCD. This is where people don't grasp OCD. This obsession brings me pleasure. An OCD obsession does not.

Music FAILS - Overkill

On another note, ever since I saw the episode of American Dad where Stan sends Steve to Camp Refoogee, every time I see the word refugee, I pronounce it refoogee.

I also just realized I have not had a birthday cake Friend-Z from Friendly's in an incredibly long time and it sounds really good right now. The vendetta my family and I had against Friendly's is over. I went there the day after Christmas and on Valentine's Day and both times I was pleased with my food. Okay, so it's not the best food, but since we no longer have any 99 restaurants nearby, it is the best chicken parm sandwhich I can get. Until I might find a better one. I am on a mission to find a chicken parm sandwhich that rivals 99's, but so far I have been unsuccessful. I have a couple of places to check out, but haven't gotten to them yet. Any suggestions?

What in the hell am I even rambling about?

Random Thoughts

Was everyone's Christmas good? Mine was low key as usual. Did the usual- go over the grandparents on Christmas Eve, stuff our faces and have my birthday cake, everyone comes over on Christmas, presents are exchanged, and everyone stuffs their faces even more.

I overate so much on Saturday and Sunday, and then my sister and I went shopping on Monday and we decided to pay Friendly's a visit for the first time in over 6 months (I think they have redeemed themselves, since I was still able to get the chicken parm supermelt, although they're still cheap with their ice cream and my clothes still stink ungodly of fried food when I leave), so that was another day of overating....I am afraid to get on the scale.

I will never EVER go shopping the day after Christmas again. Or at least to a mall. It was terrifying. We went to the Deptford Mall and it was packed to the gills with loud obnoxious kids and teenagers everywhere. Basically the stuff my worst nightmares are made of.

I made out okay for my birthday and Christmas, despite not having a list of any kind for either. It's getting increasingly aggravting every year not being able to come up with a list, but it's hard to come up with one when you don't want anything because clutter makes you anxious (I am the complete opposite of a hoarder; I don't even really own that much, but what I see when I look around my room is is basically equivalent to what the rest of the world sees on one of the many hoarding reality shows. It makes me so anxious, that I will literally spend hours dwelling over it. If I could take 98% of the stuff I own and get rid of it, I would. And I would be entirely happy not owning a lot) and the stuff you do need cannot be brought, and then I end up getting a bunch of things that I do really and truly like, but really have no use for. And I am always racked with way too much guilt over everything to ever return anything I get.

I'm kind of all over in this post, so now I am going to go on and on about my health. I am going to discuss this, despite the fact that I really and truly am worried about jinxing myself, but over the past few days I have actually felt a lot better than I have in a long time. And my blood pressure has actually been running a lot higher, but still normal than it has in a long time. And I am wondering if it has anything to do with the fact that I have stopped eating my usual Monday through Friday lunch of 2 yogurts. I have been off and on wondering if there may have been something in the yogurt that my body was reacting to. Although now I am hesitant on that, since I took my blood pressure at 9PM and it was 102/61. Which is still normal, but a lot lower than it has been running. It would be nice if a simple allergy was what was causing all of this trouble and not the dreaded Addison's disease that I am still fearful and worrying over.

I don't think I have ever brought this up, but whenever I go through one of these "disease crises", much of the reason I get upset over it is because if I were to actually be diagnosed with said disease, I would blame myself for developing it, even if nothing could be done to prevent it. I would sit and find every thing I did wrong (unhealthy diet, losing weight, whatever) as a possible cause for getting the disease. If I did actually have Addison's, I could write a list about a page long of all of the bad habits I have that I would believe had a hand in me getting it.

And I won't admit this out loud to anyone, but it's not even the actual disease I am afraid of as much as the treatment. I am terrified of steroids and the idea of going on them for pretty much ever terrifies the ever living shit out of me. Even though the steroids taken for Addison's disease are normally made naturally by the human body.

Moronic Quote Of The Day Part 2

My previous moronic quoter is the star again! No, not Snooki; the one before her:
you people should add healthy meals to the menu, one burger that is 1500 calories is way to much, this is a family restaurant, who would want they kids eating that many calories, i know i wouldn't.
Hey, Donna, I have a better idea. It's really, really, really simple- if you don't want your little precious spawns eating a lot of calories, GO EAT SOMEWHERE ELSE.

The Stupid Of The Day

I am getting tired of the WTF of the day being used so much for things that really aren't so much a WTF, but more of just plain stupidity. That said, the comments section:

Facebook| Friendly's Photos

What is the stupidity is the comment after comment of "how is this new? the Reeses sundae has been around for ages WAH". This is CLEARLY not the usual Reeses Peanut Butter cup sundae that has been around for ages. It is CLEARLY made with the new Reeses Peanut Butter Cup ice cream (which, if I do say so myself, is friggin AWESOME), which has NOT been around for ages. Oy! People are so fucking stupid! And oy! I am really becoming fucking anal retentive!

Also- last Monday, I was given my health insurance card. So, after 3.5 years, I finally have health insurance. And since I cannot go one day without a Futurama reference....huzzahs are in order!

Moronic Quote Of The Day

Despite being muy disgruntled with Friendly's right now, this bit of geniusness on their Facebook page infuriated me more, written by someone who would probably sue McDonald's if she has a heart attack:
1500 calories and 92 grams of fat for that grilled cheese burger melt is an absolute DISGRACE, that is more calories and fat than most should people should be eating in a whole day..Are you people trying to kill someone ??????
No, Donna, Friendly's is not trying to kill anyone. No one is forcing anyone to eat that sandwhich. If someone chooses to expand their waistline and clog their arteries with that sandwhich, that is their prerogative. Get off your high horse and shut the fuck up.

Another Angry Letter To Friendlys

Dear Friendly's:

Look, I have been brushing off the whole ice cream thing. I am pretty much past the point of being completely fed up with paying $2.49 for an ice cream scoop the size of a golfball. It has gotten to the point where I am actually asking for the manager every time I go. And it takes an act of God for me to actually complain to a place of a business.

But today really took the cake. Taking the chicken parm supermelt off of the menu? What the fuck? That was my favorite meal. Not cool, Friendlys. Not cool at all.

This is 3 strikes. First, with the ice cream. Then changing the fries. And now taking my favorite meal off of the menu? Sure, I can still get it now, but for how much longer? I think it is time we break up. Except for when I want a birthday cake Friend-z. You know, so I can come and get one that contains a spoonful of icing, 7 jimmies, and 2 pieces of cake.

Good God.

Sincerely,
A very disgruntled Friendly's customer

Random Thoughts

So, good news and bad news. The good news is the place I previously worked for, the billing place, is hiring. The bad news is they probably would not hire me. They would probably not even give me a chance for an interview.

Due to some miracle today, my father decided to go to Friendly's for dinner. I'm still sore with them after the last time I went, but I went anyway. And I tried that birthday cake Friend-Z for dessert and holy crap, that thing was friggin delicious. It was not nearly as sweet as I thought it would be, despite the fact that it is vanilla ice-cream, pound cake, rainbow jimmies, and icing.

It didn't have nearly as many pieces of cake in it as in the picture, though. Typical.

I was excited on Tuesday because I thought, thank god I never have to hear about Sarah Palin ever again. Boy, was I wrong. And somehow I have a feeling we are going to be hearing about her for a very long time. Excuse me while I go groan loudly. One of those loud Homer Simpson type of groans. I better start preparing now, just in case she does end up being the 2012 candidate and Obama looks like he will not be winning again. I absolutely, positively refuse to live in a country under her. There is no way in hell she deserves to claim the title of the first woman US president. I probably qualify more for it than she does. I can name more than one supreme court case, I know what countries are in North America, I can name what magazines I read, and I have been to Canada several times; therefore, I have excellent foreign policy experience!

See? I am already more qualified!

An Angry Letter to My Favorite Restaurant

Dear Friendly's Restaurant:

I have been coming to your fine establishment forever. I can't even recall how little I was the first time I came to your restaurant, but it has been one of, if not my, favorite place to eat. Your chicken parm supermelt is delectamable.

I think the time has come that we break up. I know stuff is expensive, but come on. This problem has been going on long before Bush got busy sending this country to hell in a handbasket and prices started rising.

My problem is your ice cream servings. I know not everyone's definition of a "single scoop" of ice cream is not going to coincide with mine- roughly the size of a softball- but this is ridiculous. I visited your restaurant today and it was a disgrace. My lunch was lousy, I don't know what hiring process you apply in hiring people, and my single scoop of ice cream was slightly larger than a golf ball. I am not exaggerating. And the cone was not even filled. If a cone was not meant to be filled, there would not be a hollow space.

Look, I wouldn't care about the size of the ice cream scoop because God knows my ass doesn't need it. But I hardly find it fair to charge me almost three fucking dollars for a golf-ball sized scoop of ice cream on top of an empty cone. Are you fucking kidding me? Your ice cream is not that good! Where do you hire your employees from? Or better yet, who teaches them? How can I go from one Friendlys and get a single scoop of ice cream the size of my fucking hand and then go to another and get a scoop of ice cream so small that I have bent over and belched up (thanks to acid reflux) bigger than the size of the scoop I got today? Do I care if that even makes any sense?

Sincerely,
A disgruntled Friendlys patron
