The Awesome Of The Day

Okay, boys, you said it would be 8 to 10 minutes for whatever it is you want to post. It's been 14 minutes since you announced that.

12:24AM: *drums fingers and taps feet*

12:38AM: Twitter / whoisMGMT: Ok! See if this works ...

So......it's basically a leak of the album? Hm, do I want to listen? Or be surprised on September 17th? Unless you have to pay to listen. Then I will wait.

1:38AM: I think you may have to pay to use it, but I signed up. Over an hour ago. And I am still waiting for my confirmation email so I can finish signing up and see if I have to pay. Also, I am reading through the comments at the bottom of the link and.....how embarrassing. People may think I am as bad, but as I have said before, my fangirling is greatly exaggerated, almost to the point of being a parody. I don't truly behave like that. But my God, did I act that obnoxious when I was these girls' ages? I don't remember, but if I did, I am glad social media was not in existence.

I saw a comment on Youtube one day, a girl declaring that one day she will marry Andrew. I wanted to say oh honey don't we all, but....keep dreaming. I hope he isn't one of those pigs like Leonardo DiCraprio (honest typing mistake, but it stays) who kicks women to the curb when they reach a certain age, which generally is fairly significantly younger than he is, although not as bad as Leo. If he is, I will lose all respect for him, hunt him down, and punch him. Also, one day I saw someone on ONTD say his girlfriend looks like him. I studied a picture of them for a few minutes, then recoiled in horror when I realized OMFG she kind of does. I mean, globviously he is not a bad looking person- far from it- and neither is she, but still....it's a little creepy.

2:09AM: Okay, I think it may actually be free. Now I am pissed. Where is my damn email?!

12:34PM: Finally I have a confirmation email! And it is free! Huzzah!

1:58PM: I'm doing it, folks. I'd like to hold out, but I just can't.

2:22PM: What is this visionary during "A Good Sadness"? Are they....are they flying hotdogs?

2:31PM: I think the optimizer froze on me. I can still hear the music, though, so no complaints.

2:46PM: I have a feeling this album really, REALLY is not going to go over well with the fans who want another Oracular Spectacular. And those who want more songs like "Kids".....forget it. This album is so not going to be giving that. Besides, why another "Kids"? If there should be another anything, there needs to be another "Siberian Breaks", dammit.

I know one person who won't be a fan of it- my mother.

I sneaked a peak at the comments on their Facebook page post and.....oh lord. Some hate it, others attack those who hate it, etc, etc. I know I am not good with accepting other people's opinions, but I do realize that people are entitled to their opinion and I am wrong for not accepting it. These people, though....my God, I fear for the future of this country.

Random Thoughts

I should have shared this sooner, but somehow I didn't get around to it, but I have good news! My neck pain in no longer here! It went away sometime in the beginning of this past week and while I still do not have 100% good range of motion, I am pretty much pain-free. But in the grand tradition of things, one thing goes away and another comes in its place. I am having the week from hell with my digestive system. I am so fucking bloated. And I have been having cramping in the lower left side right next to my hipbone and across my whole back. I am nauseous as hell, I have the worst taste in my mouth, and almost everything I eat is unappealing. I also had a little bit of blood-tinged discharge (sorry) for a couple days.

I think I am going to finally call and make an appointment for an ultrasound tomorrow. I need to go find out what is going on with my women parts, although if there is anything, honestly- what can I do about it? If a cyst is found that needs surgery, I can't do that. Or heaven forbid they find cancer. I don't even know how I would react to that. I mean, I can imagine how I would react, but if someone were to actually say the words "you have cancer" to me, I don't know if I would react as imagined. Right now, sadly, I don't think I would care much. And the diagnosis that would scare me the most- polycystic ovary syndrome. Yes, even more than cancer.

Against my better judgement, I am starting to feel a little guilty for not sending my FWA a congratulations yet. And I am pissed at myself for feeling bad. Damn me and my guilt complex. I am tired of feeling guilty about everything, especially when I really should not.

And something to not feel guilty about- on Friday, my mother and I went to the mall and we stopped in Macy's and while in the jewelry department I saw something shiny on the floor so I took a closer look and realized it was a hoop earring. I picked it up and took a look at the price tag. It was worth $300! I thought damn, this really needs to be returned to jewelry so I took it up to the counter and told the employees I found it on the floor. They went crazy. Apparently they had been looking for it and could not find it anywhere. The one employee thanked me like a million times. This is the second time I have been to the mall and did a good deed. The last time I was there, I saw a lady drop her keys. I started to say something to her, but she was walking so quickly I didn't get a chance to finish speaking. So I picked them up and took them over to her. She was like "omg thank you! I didn't even realized I dropped them!".

Earlier I was going through the TV channels to find something to watch and I started with channel 2, our local bulletin station. "Only Love Can a Break a Heart" by Gene Pitney was on and I thought, wow, I haven't heard that song in a really long time. I actually have it in my iTunes library because I do really like it, but it's not something I listen to often because it's not a particularly good song to listen to when you have severe depression. And then a little later while later I ran to Walgreen's and what comes on while I am in there? I just thought it was weird that I haven't heard is in so long and I hear it twice in one day.

Also, I beg to differ, Mr. Pitney- love is not the only thing that can break a heart.

The Awesome Of The Day

Just a heads up- I am going to try to keep it to a minimum, but since I have to fulfill my stanning duties, there are still probably going to be a lot of MGMT posts in the up coming week and a half, so just bear with me. But anyway.....oh, what could it be?????

I doubt it would be (I am thinking it is probably a new music video, judging by this new tweet), but it would be nice if it was a list of new US dates. With one in the Philly metro area. Folks, if I do not get to see them live again soon, I am literally going to explode.

The Awesome Of The Day

Twitter / whoisMGMT: Look what just showed up! ...

Eleven days, folks! I am not sure if I will be able to hold out until the 17th without exploding, though.

Quote Of The Day

From "Ocean's Three and a Half":
Peter Griffin: Wait a minute, here comes somebody. Excuse me, stressed-out lady. May I interest you in a full-release relaxation massage?
Woman on street: Oh, yeah. Just what I need: to be rubbed down by a big fatty, an old black guy, a cripple and a pervert.
Cleveland Brown: Now we don't have any money AND our feelings are hurt.

Maybe Good News?

So I talked to my former boss earlier and she was calling to know if I would be interested in a position. Not what I did before, but the job that came after what I did. I was always a little afraid of doing that job, but hey, if my FWA can do it, then surely I could, right? Hopefully? Anyway, unfortunately, it is not an actual job offer. I still have to apply for it and go through all of the motions if I were to receive a call back from whoever is doing the hiring. But hey, I am going to give it a shot and apply for it anyway. Doesn't hurt, I guess. Plus, it's better than all of the job offers I have had lately. Which is absolute zilch.

If I could just get past this one tricky question in the online application. Good god. You know, to be honest, I can actually be a really good bullshitter. But when it comes to passing myself off as better than the rest, e.g. job interviews, etc, forget it. I lose all bullshitting skills. And oh no. I may have to do a phone interview? Oh lord. I mean, the good thing with phone interviews is there is one less thing to worry about- body language. It's not that I am bad with body language, but when I start getting uncomfortable and anxious, I always worry it's going to start to show. Plus, I also worry I may come off a little too uptight. I am kind of an anal retentive asshole, after all.

My former boss kept me on the phone quite a while and she told me that a couple times she put me name into upper management to bring me back in, especially for the work I used to do. But they didn't budge and instead just hired someone else. She says it is nothing against me, that they just like to do stuff by the book. I still can't help but take it personally, though. They know my work ethic, plus I already know what I am doing. I mean, it's been 2 years since I done the work, but I am pretty sure I still remember how to do it. I might just be a little rusty, nothing a week or so can't fix. Although I wouldn't be surprised if it was more monetary than anything. Shit, I wouldn't be happy about it, but I would take a position there at less money than I initially made.

My former boss told me on the phone not to mention this to anyone, e.g. my former coworkers. I felt like laughing and say bitch, please, no one keeps in touch with me anyway

It will be a real bugger if I end up working there again. From the Thursday before Labor Day weekend 2011 until October 14th, all that stress.....the stress of being on unemployment....the stress of losing my unemployment benefits.....all technically for nothing.

Random Thoughts

Ugh, I have been really bad today with anxiety. Every time I have taken my blood pressure, my pulse has been near 100. I can't calm down for anything. My heart won't stop pounding and I can't stop shaking. Why am I so anxious? I don't understand why I am like this. I want to sit down on the floor and start screaming at the top of my lungs until I feel better.

And having to call my former boss tomorrow isn't helping. I am really nervous about that. Hell, I would love my job back, but thinking about how I have to change my routine when I go to work is making me anxious. Back when I found out I was losing my job, I think a big part of the reason I was so upset was because I was going to have to change my schedule when I was officially laid off. I guess it has to do with having OCD, I don't know. My entire day is pretty much planned out- bike at 11:30AM (if it's an exercise day), shower at noon, coffee and computer time at 12:30PM, lunch at 1:30PM, dinner will vary, snack at 9:05PM, and another at 11:30PM. It's pretty sad. I know I am being ridiculous- hey, at least I recognize it as ridiculous, right?- but any time I have to change something, I want to lose it. And I get annoyed when people joke with me about it, because I don't particularly find it funny. I find it to be an enormous pain in the ass actually.

And speaking of my former coworkers, they, including my FWA, were creaming themselves on Facebook over the casting for the 50 Shades of Shit movie. Come to think of it, there were more people than I expected excited about it on my newsfeed today. I couldn't face palm myself enough. I can't believe that many people liked the shitty ass book series. It's embarrassing. And since my mind is a sick twisted fuck, now I can't help but wonder if any of these people tried to....if they tried to.....oh god, excuse me. *vomits all over keyboard*

I went to Barnes and Noble on Sunday to look for any magazines that might have MGMT on the cover. Luckily, I did find the new issue of Under the Radar:

Man, there is this picture on the inside that takes up two pages and like half of their faces are pressed against one another......fuck, Andrew looks so beautiful I could just cry every time I look at it. And speaking of beautiful pictures, here is another one. I don't what that particular picture is from; I just know I want to fall on my knees and weep looking at it. I just.....oh mama.

Saturday night, I was on the computer (surprise) and barely staying awake when a new article popped up on them over on ONTD. Of course, I had to read it. And there was a brief discussion of Andrew's penis. Nothing too detailed, but it kept me from going to bed for another hour.

And also on Saturday night, I discovered that Comcast On Demand FINALLY added all of their music videos to the music video list, including "Your Life is a Lie". Then on Sunday I was thinking about it and then I realized wait a minute, there is something missing from that list, so later on I checked the list and sure enough, "It's Working" isn't on the list! How do you not have that video? That video is awesome! It has this, for god's sake:

Now.....it would be nice if Comcast On Demand WOULD WORK so I can WATCH THE GODDAMN VIDEOS! I keep getting the error "We're sorry, but we are experiencing an issue at the moment. Please try your selection again in a few minutes or try a different one. For more information and further assistance, please visit Comcast.com/help. Error code ERR-0". Yet if you look up ERR-0 on the Comcast page, it gives a completely different error message. ARGH!

And one last note- 14 DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Random Thoughts

Well, I finally got to go down Ocean City this weekend. It was a nice day. It would have been better had I not had neck pain and really high anxiety levels. But I finally got to have Manco and Manco pizza (it was GOOD) and Dairy Queen. My stomach wasn't too happy, but tough toenails.

One of the things I like about OC is there are usually surfers in the ocean. Unfortunately, there were none around when I was there this time. Well, except when I walked by some store and there was this tall skinny guy in a wetsuit hosing himself down outside. I didn't get a good look at his face, but the hair and the body.....yeah. It was nice. I couldn't stop and stare, but I totally would have. Instead, I tried to turn my head slightly and look discreetly while walking by. However, having suspected BPPV wasn't about to allow that.

Today is the first day I woke up and did not have bad neck pain. My ROM is a lot better. Still hurts a little bit when I move my head to the side, but it seems to be a lot better. But the past couple days, I have been having sporadic somewhat sharp pains in different spots on my head, mostly on the top. It's unsettling and not helping the brain tumor or brain aneurysm or neurological disease fear by any means. I have been nauseous. Not to mention every time I blew raspberries on my nephew's belly or at him in general, I got really lightheaded.

My anxiety levels are horrible right now. And 95% of the time I start to feel really anxious, I don't even know why I am. I just start feeling really bad, my heart starts to pound really hard, and I start shaking. I just want to cry. Or start screaming and not stop. And now I am so afraid that I am going to pass out, have a seizure, whatever. I don't even want to leave the house anymore. One of these days when I get medical again, I want a whole host of work done. And one of the first things I want done is a test on my magnesium levels, because I don't care what anyone says, I am lacking magnesium. And unfortunately, good absorbable magnesium isn't exactly easy to come across and I want a definite low reading before I invest money in a good magnesium supplement.

Oh, and the tooth that bothered me before because it was cracked? It's bothering me again.

I jumped on Facebook when I got home last night and I found out one of my former co-workers is leaving for another job. Now I am wondering if that is why my former boss called. It seems awful coincidental that I am being called right when a former co-worker is leaving. If it turns out to be completely unrelated to that, I will be surprised. And I'll cry if I am offered her position, because while I would love to take it, there is no way in hell I could do that kind of driving.
