FTS

Earlier I was in the midst of brushing my teeth and was playing on my iPad, happened to turn around and caught the tail end of that commercial I have been waiting to see. I was livid. Almost two weeks I have been waiting to see it! And I've kept the channel on to see if it would come on again. No luck so far. At least I know they are still playing it. But still. Argh!

And yes, I am home again. Last night I was pretty sure one of three things would happen 1) we would be closed 2) we would have a delayed opening or 3) it would be bad enough that I would not go in regardless. My manager called this morning and said that corporate decided to open us. I said "WHAT?!" and she goes "I know, right?". I said I wasn't coming in. It was sleeting like hell. My streets looked like hell. My manager didn't even know how she was getting in. And what would we go in for? So all our patients and clients cancel and we end up losing money anyway? Why is it that when a state of emergency is declared, businesses aren't forced to close? We're not necessary! Emergency personnel, hospital workers, etc, yeah, I  could see. But not us.

And while I agree that it's absolutely shitty, my coworkers are bad-mouthing the hell out of work on Facebook. Are they really stupid? And they're acting like we're the only nonessential place in the Northeast open. Um, two of my cousins had to go in to work at normal time as well.

3:50PM: Still no commercial. God, I could just kick something!

I just spent over an hour outside shoveling. My fingers are throbbing (not in pain, more like a pulsing) as they are warming up, I'm light-headed, and my heart feels horrible. I now see why people have heart attacks from shoveling, because I feel like I am about to have one. And I am getting anxious and it's making my heart racing and light-headedness worse.

7:05PM: I didn't realize I haven't brought this bit of stupidity up yet. On Monday, my FWA's friend comes in after being sick for two days, hacking like the hounds of hell (she has one of the most annoying coughs I have ever heard; when people say someone sounds like they're going to cough up a lung, that's exactly what she sounds like she is going to do) and sounding contagious as fuck, and one of my coworkers looks at her and says "you look like you have pink eye in both eyes!". So she makes an appointment with her doctor. But sticks around until 2:30PM. The next day, she comes strolling in. Oh and she did have pink eye! And now she is in work AGAIN. She couldn't take off because just like my FWA, she only has one PTO day left. So instead, she decides oh I'll just come in with an extremely contagious disorder. My manager should have made her go home, because not only was she putting her employees at risk, but our doctors and our patients as well.

I swear, sometimes the level of stupidity in that place just astonishes me.

Random Thoughts

I waited all last week for the weekend to come to see that commercial I talked about before, pretty sure I'd see it during the normal shows I see it during. Not once. I am really disappointed.

And speaking of commercials, I was reading comments on Cheezburger about that huge controversy about the Coke commercial with either "The Star Spangled Banner" or "America the Beautiful or whatever sung in different languages and.....really? Just really? Some of the things people wrote on Twitter were just.....embarrassing. I'm not one to really talk, but some of the things people get up in arms about nowadays are just ridiculous. I don't know who is worse- the ultra PC people or the people who feel their white American Christian beliefs are threatened.

It's like that whole thing with the mixed race family in the Cheerios commercial last year. I've seen two mixed family commercials recently, a new Cheerios one with the same family and one for Swiffer. I've haven't heard any complaints about the latter, but the former.....oh boy. Like who fucking cares? Is it really that big of a deal that two different races mated? If it personally offends you that much, then you have bigger problems than me.

Last year (I think), there was some young girl missing in NJ. And they did find her dead and apparently it was two boys who killed her. I had to laugh when a couple weeks later, the family started talking about filing a suit against the township for not finding her sooner. I just laughed in disbelief. One, she would have been dead no matter when they found her. Two, they found her in less than 3 days. I don't even know if it was 48 hours. A blonde white girl missing? The whole town will be turned upside to find her. And it was. People searched for her day and night. After that surfaced, any sympathy I had for the family evaporated.

I saw this sticker on the back of a car yesterday that said "Real girls are gamers". Now I enjoy old school video games (Yoshi's Island!), but this whole "gamer" thing so fucking annoying, especially when you have girls who have to constantly brag about being gamers and oh they are so not like those fake gamer girls wah wah wah. Ooo you're so unique! STFU already.

I have been ridiculously bloated lately and I don't know if it's all due to the bad eating I have done in the past week or if I either have a new cyst or the left one is still present, but has enlarged. On Thursday I had a pretty significant amount of cramping in my lower left side and across my entire lower back. My breasts have also been kind of sore and I had a few days here and there of light bleeding. If this is something I am going to have to constantly deal with, I'll scream.

Another thing that is making me want to scream is how bad my memory is getting. Last Saturday we were at a different Wal-Fart than the one we usually go to and when we were leaving, I stopped outside because I honest to God could not remember what one we were at. And just as I was about to have a panic attack, I finally remembered. And the whole night all I could think was, what the fuck was that about? And I think I took my night pill at 9 instead of 10 like I always do. And now I am not sure. And I am going nuts trying to remember.

I noticed my tooth that has been bothering me hasn't been bothering me lately, except it seems to be sensitive to really cold stuff. And instead of being like most normal people and thinking oh good it's no longer bothering me, now I am worried the tooth root died. And harassing my good friend Google on what the symptoms of a dead root are. IT. NEVER. STOPS.

The good news is, my anxiety seems to have lightened up some since last week.

It's snowing. Again. STAHP MOTHER NATURE.

Song Of The Day

I was reading this article one day and I thought, where on earth have I seen those pants before? Then I remembered. And if I recall, he wore them like 2 or 3 days in a row.

The Awesome Of The Day

The response to the first letter:

Miss Manners: Announcement of baby’s gender is not an occasion for party

Oh snap. Those parties are ridiculous. All they do is say LOOK AT ME I BRED SHOWER ME WITH MORE STUFF AND ATTENTION. No, sorry that is what the shower is for. If anyone should be celebrated at a gender reveal, it should be the man, since it was his spermies who decided what the baby would be. Which reminds me, why do men get pissed when the baby isn't the gender they want? Uh, it was your little swimmers who decided. But anyway....besides, what if you find out you're going to be popping out a hermaphrodite? Shit, if I decided to procreate (GOD FORBID) and found out I was having a hermaphrodite, I'd have to throw a gender reveal party. Ladies and gentlemen, it's a.....both!* But what color cake do you get then? Purple? Cake is about the only reason I'd go to one of these stupid parties. I fucking love cake!

*I'm not making fun of hermaphrodites BTW

I'm sorry, I'm rambling like crazy. My anxiety has been really bad today. Several times I took my blood pressure it was running on the low side of normal (105/65 this morning, 100/69 a little later; there were two other times but I already forget the measurements) and I haven't felt good (extreme heartburn and nausea, dizzy, cold, a few times feeling light-headed a few seconds after I stood up and started walking) and I have a lot of cramping on my lower left side and I am so depressed and frustrated from being anxious. Goddamn my doctor for having to say about maybe going to see an endocrinologist. And goddamn me for not asking him to clarify.

Goddamit, I just finally got the song from the Ultimate Poker commercial out of my head and it just came on. Now it's stuck in my head again! ARGH!

Random Thoughts

Got my blood results. Everything was normal. No hyponatremia or hyperkalemia (two signs pointing towards Addison's disease; the son of bitch has reeled itself back in some thanks to my doctor's visit last week). No thyroid abnormalities (as expected). The only thing out of range were my monocyte levels, which were 13 and the cutoff was 12. So, probably nothing to worry about. Of course, because I am a sick minded bitch, I still couldn't resist googling it.

I didn't feel good earlier in work and all I kept thinking was I want to take my blood pressure and I didn't have access to a blood pressure cuff and I could feel my anxiety building up more and more until I was ready to scream somebody get me a blood pressure cuff before I freak the fuck out!

The best part of my test results were my cholesterol levels. I nearly cackled maniacally when I saw my total cholesterol. Despite all of my lousy eating and love for fried foods and sweets, it was 169! It was fucking flawless! Well, okay my LDL levels are a little close to being too high (cutoff is 99, mine was 94), but still. It must be all of that oatmeal I eat. I fucking love oatmeal!

I ended up RSVP'ing yes to my FWA's baby shower. I hope I don't regret this. Also, lately there is this commercial I see every so often that I have to stop and watch every time it is on. And I mostly only see it on the weekend during Too Cute marathons, but I keep a look out for it during the week. I don't know why. Fascination, I guess. At first I was kind of skeeved out by it, but now I find it to be kind of a sweet, touching commercial. Ugh, every time I think I can't get any weirder.

Quote Of The Day

From "The Route Of Evil":
Cubert: Hey, Dad. What useless contraption are you half-baking today?
Farnsworth: Eh, wha? Oh! This is my latest invention; a device that lets anyone sound exactly like me!
[Cubert speaks into it.]
Cubert: [Farnsworth's voice] Good news, everyone! I'm a horse's butt!
Farnsworth: I am? That's not good news at all, you little--

Random Thoughts

Ugh this weekend totally did my digestive system in. Chicken parm and that huge piece of carrot cake- which I am happy to say I did not throw up- last night, Olive Garden (eggplant parm) today.....ugh. And now it's supposed to snow tomorrow. Double ugh!

And speaking of the OG, they really need to start selling those panini sandwiches all of the time. The chicken parm one is so good! With working, I can't get there for lunch as often. I was able to go the day after the Electric Factory concert, but that was because I had taken off that day.

I went for my blood work yesterday morning. I had to laugh when I walked into the waiting room- it was full of old people. Really? They didn't have all week to go? Oh and then there was some show on in the waiting room called Ocean Mysteries and they were discussing loggerhead turtles and the hosts were standing in a pool full of baby ones. Do you know how hard it is to not squeal in a waiting room full of people? Anyway, this blood work is the first time I am having my cholesterol levels checked. I'm curious to know what they are, but at the same time, I don't want to know them. Also, I didn't exactly fast 12 hours. I was about an hour short.

I need to decide this week whether to go to my FWA's baby shower. I really do not want to. Except like I said before, I know I will inevitably feel guilty about not going. I think if I wasn't so uncomfortable around my coworkers, it wouldn't be so bad. And then I found out the one girl I used to work with will be there. I have to laugh how she is all buddy-buddy with my FWA now. The same person who used to bad mouth her constantly in the office. The same person who told the whole office that my FWA and her boyfriend used the pull out method and then made fun of her. Which I did, too, because anyone who is dumb enough to think the pull out method is reliable shouldn't be having sex. But I did not do it in the office.

Our manager found out this past week that she was not invited to the shower. To say she was pissed is an understatement. And she was planning on giving my FWA a shower, but asked my FWA something about it and I don't know what her response was except it seemed like she declined having one, and the next thing I knew, my manager sent the rest of an email telling us we weren't having one for her. My FWA used to say constantly that she probably wasn't going to be giving one in the office. I never understood why she said that. Everyone got showers. She's just a fucking dumb ass. And I guarantee sometime down the line, she'll bitch that she wasn't giving one.

Ugh, I never seen a place ooze so much damn drama. And I am not looking forward to going back to work tomorrow. Stupid weekends and their flying by.

The Awesome Of The Day (Besides Andrew's Birthday)

O.M.G. it was freaking DELICIOUS:

Note to self: you will NOT throw this up like the last time you had carrot cake.

You Knew This Was Coming

MY KING! IT'S YOUR BIRTHDAY!

Happy birthday, you fine specimen of a man. May you never stop creating wonderful music.

ETA 12:53PM:

WHY ARE YOU SHOUTING?

Random Thoughts

Good news! I had no cavities! Bad news! My lower left molar is bothering me again when I chew on it! And I have no idea how I will ever find time to go and get it fixed! And all I keep worrying about is it getting bad enough to need root canal or an abscess forms. ARGH!

And more good news- I have a prescription to have blood work done. The bad news- I cannot have my vitamin levels checked. I did ask, but my doctor said insurance companies don't always want to cover those kind of tests without a legitimate reason, so I just said never mind. All I wanted tested were my vitamin B12 levels and magnesium levels! I am so frustrated!

And the thing that is unsettling me the most- my doctor looked at my previous lab results and said something about my cortisol/aldosterone levels and maybe going to see an endocrinologist. I almost screamed at the top of my lungs. Folks, that is the last thing I needed to hear.

My anxiety levels are starting to get really bad. There have been several times in the past week that I have seriously considered going to the hospital because I feel like I am about to suffocate from all of the anxiety and bad thoughts. But then thought better of it. Another thing I am noticing is I am starting to get really attached to things. Not just people, but actual things, like stores, where if they were to close, I'd be really, REALLY upset. I just found out one of my favorite Friendly's closed and I was so damn upset over it. Ugh, every time I think I can't get any weirder....

Also, the past few days I have had some unusual bleeding and cramping on the left side and in my back. Either that cyst is still there or I don't know what is going on. I give up trying to figure out what is wrong with my body. And frankly, I just don't give a shit anymore.
