You would not believe your eyes
If ten million fireflies
Lit up the world as I fell asleep
'Cause they'd fill the open air
And leave teardrops everywhere
You'd think me rude
But I'd just stand and stare
I'd like to make myself believe
That planet Earth turns slowly
Its hard to say that I'd rather stay awake when I'm asleep
'Cause everything is never as it seems
'Cause I'd get a thousand hugs
From ten thousand lightning bugs
As they tried to teach me how to dance
A foxtrot above my head
A sockhop beneath my bed
A disco ball is just hanging by a thread
I'd like to make myself believe
That planet Earth turns slowly
Its hard to say that I'd rather stay awake when I'm asleep
'Cause everything is never as it seems
When I fall asleep
Leave my door open just a crack
(please take me away from here)
'Cause I feel like such an insomniac
(please take me away from here)
Why do I tire of counting sheep
(please take me away from here)
When I'm far too tired to fall asleep
To ten million fireflies
I'm weird 'cause I hate goodbyes
I got misty eyes as they said farewell
But I'll know where several are
If my dreams get real bizarre
'Cause I saved a few and I keep them in a jar
I'd like to make myself believe
That planet Earth turns slowly
Its hard to say that I'd rather stay awake when I'm asleep
'Cause everything is never as it seems
I'd like to make myself believe
That planet Earth turns slowly
Its hard to say that I'd rather stay awake when I'm asleep
'Cause everything is never as it seems
I'd like to make myself believe
That planet earth turns slowly
It's hard to say that I'd rather stay awake when I'm asleep
'Cause my dreams are bursting at the seams

Lyrics Of The Day
Because every now and then, some artist today will put something out that I actually like...."Fireflies" by Owl City:
The WTF Of The Day
Killer Tripped Up by His Own Baggy Pants
Dumbass, although frankly, I don't know who is the biggest dumbass here- the killer who killed himself with his own pants or the moronic hyperpoliticos flooding the comment section. It has nothing to do with the story, you pack of blockheads!
Man, what a stupid way to die.
And speaking of WTF, I went on the Facebook fanpage for Lady Miss Kier and someone actually had the gall to write 4 simple words that are, quite frankly, outrageous:

And speaking of WTF, I went on the Facebook fanpage for Lady Miss Kier and someone actually had the gall to write 4 simple words that are, quite frankly, outrageous:
The original Lady GaGa!Look, I do believe that Lady Gaga has talent and I do actually like a couple songs by her and I will actually defend her and say that while she is not the most attractive person on earth, she isn't that ugly (I'm curious to see how many people declare her ugly and call Miley Cyrus attractive; I don't like to go after people's looks much, but good God, that entire family looks like they were beaten with an ugly stick....I have seen pictures of Lady Gaga where I could almost call her pretty. In a bizarre way.), although I do not get such bizarre attire because it is not like she doesn't have the voice to back her up unlike 99.9% of the crap passed as musicians today (I mean, I am all for weird, but there is a limit and dressing like a bloody tampon surpasses that limit) but.....NO! No way in fucking hell can you ever dare compare her to Lady Miss Kier! ABSOLUTELY NOT! First off, Lady Miss Kier was not anywhere near as weird as Lady Gaga, second, Deee-Lite was not as mainstream and third, Deee-Lite's music had some kind of message to society. What Lady Gaga's is is beyond me, besides telling us to just dance. I know she likes to act like her music is all deep and meaningful and shit, but I have yet to hear any kind of real message to society. The only things the 2 have in common is the name Lady in front of their name, they are both a supporter of gay rights, and they write their own music.

Quote Of The Day
11 Points writer Sam Greenspan on the expected responses to placing Fixed News' The Half Hour Newshour (wtf) on his 11 Most Disappointing TV Shows of the 2000s list:
You can stop typing up your angry comment about how I hated it because I'm a raging hippie liberal who wants to have a three-way with Nancy Pelosi and Al Franken (and then treat the STDs we all get with universal, government-funded health care).

Quote Of The Day
AOL commentor Hugh Jassol, on When Ugly Christmas Trees Attack:
I am an Air Force (yes, an entire Air Force) and I needed to lose weight so I took some Acai Berry then detoxified my colon. Unfortunately, it was during a 6 G dive that my colon became unstable and I shat in my flight suit. Then the suit pressurized and exploded, spraying the contents of my now detoxified colon all over the cockpit and, sadly, my co-pilot. But he was okay with it because he had met a tall millionaire online the night before and was expecting a check from Mrs. Abacha in Nigeria for 7.5 million any day now. After we landed I got a shower and a coffee enema, watched Brangelina topless then found a cougar to love online at onlynitwitsbelievethis .com so we'll be getting married soon and Mr. Colon Cleanse will be my best man. After, we'll be eating dog food while we try to pay all the credit cards that we ran up buying useless crap from all the scumbags posing as bloggers on AOL.

Random Thoughts
I am almost a month late on reporting this, but....good news! The legal world is safe from my jurying. I was excused about five seconds into being interviewed by the judge. He asked me something along the lines of whether I could place equal weight on every testimony and do I feel I could judge fairly and I said “honestly, no” and he told me I was excused. So, somewhere in the county, the defendant and plantiff can breathe a sigh of relief. Weird thing is, when I checked the Jury Reporting webpage for Thursday afterwards, it said both groups, all numbers were excused. It also said “Jurors in the Special Panel are Excused”. So who the hell did they pick?
The thing that absolutely astonished me was how people came dressed. I wore dress pants, a blouse, and flats. About 85% of the other jurors came in casual and by casual, I mean jeans, t-shirts, hoodies, sneakers, construction boots, etc. Some big fat chick came in leggings and ridiculous boots and another girl came in a tracksuit. The best one I saw was a chick in jeans, a hoodie, and flip flops. I mean, seriously? In a fucking courtroom? Sure, the summons said “dress casual”, but come on! It also said “Jurors must wear clothing appropriate for an appearance in court.”
And I always hear stories about how everyone makes friends at jury duty. I am lucky if 3 people talked to me. Sure, I didn’t make any conversation nor did I want to (I had roughly 4.5 hours of sleep + I did not want to be there= super antisocial), but usually not wanting to be bothered seems to be an open invitation to talk my ear off.
The strange thing is, I desperately did not want to get picked and yet when I was dismissed and still to this very second, I feel kind of bad and remorseful. Look, it’s not just because I am kind of biased that I feel I would not make a good juror. It’s also the fact that I am horribly indecisive and I also do not want to be a part of convicting someone unless it’s absolutely certain they did it.
And unfortunately, with the type of case, I would have had issues with both parties. At first, my feminista instinct kicked in and I would have thought I would have had a vendetta for the defendant but as soon as the judge mentioned something about under 18 sex laws, my entire perspective changed. Because I feel that there are people out there under 18 who have sex with someone over 18 that know damn well what they are doing and it should NOT be considered statutory rape. there seems to be an ever increasing number of girls crying wolf. NOT cool at all to make light of such a vicious situation. Every girl who has cried rape that knows damn well they never were deserves be slapped upside the head and then to burn in hell. It’s fucking sick!
Man, I can't believe it's going to be Christmas soon. It's crazy! Where has this year gone? better yet, where have the past 4 years gone? It's already been 4 years since I basically had a nervous breakdown. Am I better? Oh yeah. In certain ways, but not in others.
It astonishes me that what should have been helping was actually making me worse. I have been medicine free for ....hmmm, I have to think for a second. I think I took my last Prozac pill in the fall of 2007, so 2 years I have been medicine free. Exercising really does help. It certainly has not taken away any of the depression or anxiety, but it keeps my head screwed on a little tighter.
The one thing that has been bothering me big time is my personality. I have been off the wall lately. I can honestly go from caring about someone to hating them in a short amount of time. I can sit in my room and cry worrying about something happening to my parents and it will take one little thing for me to hate them and this will alternate all day long. It drives me nuts. I have had this problem for a long time but it just seems to be worsening. And it makes me feel horrible. I feel like a troll. And a lot of times I will just say stuff that I don't even know why I say and don't really mean. I never really went through a "teenage angst" phase, so maybe this is it rearing it's ugly head now. It only took a decade!
I don't pretend to know a whole lot about personality disorders, but for a long time I have suspected that I having one is very, very possible. I have never stayed in therapy long enough or had the courage to ever confront the idea of having one. What one would I have? I am not sure. The one I would be almost willing to bet my life on is Avoidant Personality Disorder. But I do believe there is another one as well. I am not trying to play first year psych student here, but obsessive compulsive, compensatory narcissitic, borderline, and passive aggressive personality disorders are all ones that sound pretty on the nose. I don't know. If I ever go back to therapy, it will definitely be something I will bring up.
One feeling that is not new is guilt. Guilt is basically the one feeling I can say I feel constantly. And I think I finally found the root of why I am the most indecisive person on earth- GUILT! No matter which decision I would make, something would make me feel guilty.
But otherwise....good news! I received something on November 20th and November 30th that I haven't seen in ages- a Blue Screen of Death! Still haven't quite figured out the cause of it, but it coicidentally occured after the installation and uninstallation of Counterspy, so I am pointing my finger at it, but either way, my reaction was similar to when my last computer decided to die on me in June, which was basically a reaction similar to every person in the Game Fly commercial.

The Bitch, Please! Of The Day
Woman Sues Burger King For Texts About Shakes and Whoppers
The texts caused her actual harm? I suppose next she'll be suing BK for making their food irresistable and causing her to weigh over 500 pounds.
Look, I would never argue that Nazi Germany and concentration camps were a horrible thing, but when I read articles like this, it makes me wonder if all eugenics are really that bad.
It also makes me rethink evolution.
These comments on the article made me laugh:
PS, did I not mention that I do finally have a job?
With stupid lawsuits increasing practically every second, I think I may file a lawsuit against humanity for pissing me off on an hourly basis.

Boy hearing about that woman's plight is making me sick so l think l will sue her for 5 million dollars!!!!!!!!You should see my job. I can't tell you how much I am willing to bet that most of the cases I see are filed by people who seem to just simply not want to work, but for some reason, don't resort to welfare like others. Guess it wouldn't pay as much as opposed to suing someone else for your own goddamn stupidity or for something out of their control. What are the statistical odds that you get hurt once and then several more times on a job that is not even hazardous? Since when is carpal tunnel syndrome the fault of your place of employment? Come on now. Get real, people!
This lady has hurt me. I have lost my motivation to work honestly and hard for my money, knowing that people like her can make millions in frivilous lawsuits, causes me to want to search for a likewise method to make money while the legal system gets slowed down even more. Let's all sue her, it would be just as justifiable. (sarcasm of course)
PS, did I not mention that I do finally have a job?

Quote Of The Day
Michael K on Jersey Shore:
The only compliment I can offer this show is if I were held hostage and told that if I do not want to die, my choices are to watch hours of this POS or hours of the [Whatever number they are up to] Kids and Counting or Jon And Kate Plus Eight, you can guarantee I will choose this visual and aural holocaust over those crappy pieces of crap. Come on. Either way you look at it, you know I will be asking the person holding me hostage to put me out of my misery.
My great-grandparents must be rolling in their graves.
What is there to say about last night's 2-hour premiere of Jersey Shore on MTV? I was tempted to just post a picture of the orange puss that oozed out of my eye holes after watching this, because that pretty much sums it up.Did I watch it? No. One, I was not aware it premiered. Two, I do not watch MTV, except for Southpark sometimes. And three, I hate NJ enough as it is. I don't need to add any fuel to the fire. Ninety nine percent of the comments I have read on this piece of shit say they do not see this in NJ. However, any of the pictures of it I have seen, I can say that I do, in fact, see this exact type of trash in NJ. Believe me, I go to Seaside for the day a few times every summer and this is the exact type of trash I see every fucking summer. Wildwood is getting incredibly close to being overrun with this type of trash (I always laugh at how they are trying to upgrade Wildwood and condos get more expensive and the clientele just gets trashier and trashier; change the scenary, but not the situation). I saw it in high school too. Oh, did I. Especially the guys. Guidos out and out. *barfs*

Lyrics Of The Day
"Don't Hang Up" by the Orlons:
Don't hang up (no, no)
Oh, don't you do it now
Don't hang up (no, no)
Don't hang up like you always do
I know you think our love is true
I'll explain the facts to you, don't hang up
Give me a chance or our romance is through
Don't hang up (no, no)
Oh, don't you do it no)
Don't hang up (no, no)
I took a walk with Mary Lou
I ran around to visit Sue
She had some boys I never knew
Don't hang up
They took a ride, so, baby, I went too
Stopped at the record hop
I had to be a sport
We stomped and we did The Slop
Then you walked in and I was caught
Don't hang up (no, no)
Oh, don't you do it now
Don't hang up (no, no).
'Cause you got some explainin' too
a-Like that chick I saw with you
So talk fast like you always do
Don't hang up
You've got one chance or our romance is through
[Instrumental break.]
Then you walked in and you were caught
Don't hang up (no, no)
Oh, don't you do it now
Don't hang up (no, no)
I didn't say our love was through
But if we made a fool for two
'Cause making up is fun to do
Don't hang up
'Cause no one else will ever do but you
Don't hang up (no, no)
Oh, don't you do it now
Don't hang up (no, no)
Or you'll be sorry, baby
Don't hang up (no, no)
You know I love you, baby
Don't hang up...

Quote Of The Day
Actually, it is an article, from Little Green Footballs, the webpage with a title that for reasons unbeknownst to me, makes me break into kiddie giggles:
Why I Parted Ways With The Right
A few years ago, I visited this webpage because, like I just said, the title appealed to me. When I read it though, it infuriated me (I think it was a big pro-Bush kajigger). But now looking at it, I can honestly say it is not bad at all. I don't agree with everything written, but these are certainly conservatives I can respect, although I am sure to the Palin/Limbaugh/Beck party that these good fellows are nothing but a bunch of American-hating, Jesus-hating RINOs who are really liberals. I honestly don't know what is so goddamn hard to understand that there are many, MANY variations of a political party. There is not just the Liberals and the Conservatives. I consider myself Democratic, but that does not mean I am a welfare-loving, baby-killing, illegal-immigrant loving, you-all-owe me, PETA-loving, vegan, tree-hugging elitist. I will clarify that I curse welfare abusers but do not condemn welfare entirely, I wish there were more abortions, I have views of illegal immigrants that would please Lou Dobbs, I do not think the world owes me, I despise PETA, I do love my burgers and chicken fingers, and while I do respect protecting the environment, I despise the whole going green trend. Do these people even really give a shit?
I can already picture the massive amount of hate and rage-filled emails that will be sent to this man. God forbid should one have even one negative thing to say about the Republican party. And yet liberals and Democrats are the ones that are fascists and trying to turn this country into a nanny state? That always gets me. Who are the ones that are always banning and burning books and protesting movies and trying to tell women what to do with their bodies? Not lefties.
