The Bitch, Please! Of The Day

Here we go again:

Here's a question concerning two hot topics. Why is the torture of an enemy combatant wrong, and punishable, and abortion isn't? If torture is a horrible thing that should never happen, is it because it's inhumane?

Karen? Here is a question for you. Why is abortion considered murder, but bombing the hell out of a country and killing civilians- WHICH INCLUDES PREGNANT WOMEN, BABIES, AND CHILDREN- perfectly okay? Look, I know that for some people, everything is black and white, it either is or it isn't no in between, myself included, but even I know that just because someone is Iraqi or Afghani or whatever that IT DOES NOT AUTOMATICALLY MAKE THEM A TERRORIST.

Do you consider the death penalty murder? I would think that if you are an holier than thou, praise Jebus type, that a life is a life. These people stand here and preach that no one has the right to take another life, but will jump at any instance to execute someone and while I am not one to protest the death penalty if the person is definitely guilty, I would think that "no one has the right to take another life" would mean any life, regardless of what that person has done.

What is humane about abortion? One procedure using a burning solution. Another tears apart a baby's limbs and organs as it's sucked from the womb. Another partially delivers a viable baby who could probably live outside the womb, and an instrument is used to puncture the base of the baby's head and its brain is sucked out.

And what is humane about shooting wolves from helicopters? Or killing a polar bear? It's humane to allow a pregnant woman to die if the fetus is threatening her life? Aw, if only my sister could get on here and write out how that when a pregnant woman is having trouble, it can affect the fetus. Oh, but that's right. When that happens, it's "God's will". We'll just ignore that little itty bitty fact that one life could have possibly been saved.

Hey, let's go a little further. Republicans seem to be big fans of pollution. You honestly can tell me that pollution has no bearing on sexual organs? If some dangerous substances can cause cancer, I certainly see no reason they can't cause damage to gametes. The scariest type of anti-abortionists believe life goes back as far as the gametes.

Conservatives want it one way: have the baby whether the woman wants or can afford it. Because a fetus has a heartbeat does not make it a person. It cannot survive outside of the womb. One less mouth to feed? Maybe. Aren't conservatives always complaining about women having more children than they can afford and don't want their tax money going to baby machines? Inconvenient? Do we add another child to the wolrd that may not be cared for, that could be discarded and abused? If adoption is the answer, why are there hundreds of children up fpr adoption that no one wants. If every child is wanted, as pro-lifers say, then why are there any children available for adoption? Now there are some points for civil discussion.
